Here is a video tutorial on how to install Android 10.0 Head Unit Car Radio 9 inch (H589N-H) with rear view camera on VW Golf 5, Mk5, Golf 6, Mk6, GTI, Passat B6, B7, CC, Polo, Tiguan, Scirocco, Eos, Multivan, Beetle, Sharan,
Touran, Transporter T5, Amarok, Caddy, Skoda Fabia, Octavia 2, Octavia 3, Superb, Rapid, Yeti, Roomster, Seat Leon, Altea, Alhambra, Toledo, etc. in 12 easy steps.

Required tools:
- T20 Torx: amzn.to/2DJ8yZT
- flat blade screwdriver or trim tool: amzn.to/3uy4FMd
- Backup Camera Adapter Box: bit.ly/3Rvxfth
The Android 10 Car Radio H589N-H includes:
- car radio
- 2 power harnesses (you'll use the one that is fitting for your car)
- radio antenna
- original car USB
- Canbus decoder
- RCA cable
- CAM cable for rear view camera
- 2 x USB cables
- GPS antenna
1. Remove the plastic frame from the car radio
2. Remove the cables from the airbag light from frame
3. Remove those 4 screws from the car radio using a T20 Torx
4. Take the Car Radio (RCD310 Head Unit) out and disconnect all the cables from the back
If your car has Logo Flip Rear Trunk Handle Camera, you should buy a Backup Camera Rearview RGB to Converter Adapter Box.
5. Connect the blue wire from the antenna to the blue wire from the power harness
How to connect the Logo Flip Rear Trunk Handle Camera to the Car Radio Unit Android 10.0
6. Connect the black wire from the Backup Camera Adapter Box to the black cables from the power harness
7. Connect the yellow and brown wires from the Backup Camera Adapter Box to the brown cable from the Canbus (it could be a pink wire also)
8. Connect the yellow cables from the Backup Camera Adapter Box to the CAM cable (CCD AVIN)
Don't forget to use tape to insolate the wires!
9. Place the GPS antenna on the top or radio cage, inside the center console
If you choose to use those USB cables, you can connect it to the car radio unit and then you can go behind the radio unit and take them out through the left side corner of the glove compartment
10. Connect the radio antenna to the car antenna and the power harness to the main cables of the car
11. Put all the cables inside the center console and then put the 4 screws back
12. Connect the airbag cables and the place the plastic frame back.

Great video, thanks for sharing I have similar setup but have a question, in the camera RGB converter. You connect the Yellow (Reverse) and Brown (12v) together? So the reverse wire is always plugged to 12v? Thanks

Just what I needed brilliant explaination. I am connecting to a Skoda Superb 2 same type of unit, the connections at the back are the same but I can see you have 2 black are they Antenna cables with same connection but you only used one. My problem is the same the car has i think they are called FAKRA connections, 3 connections one blue and 2 black but only one possibility on the unit. Do I need an adaptor or just use one of the black, ? thanks great video

Thank you very much for this tutorial! I was very frustrated because I bought this unit, and could not get the rear camera. I didn't realize it needed a separate adapter! I ordered it and followed your tutorial, and it's working perfectly. Did you have trouble with the canbus decoder and steering wheel buttons? Each time I try to learn a steering control through the unit's settings, I get a "Failed" error. I verified in the factory settings that I have the correct Protocol ... I'm not sure what else to try.

Good video bro. Can you help me the rca harness 20 pin has video out and cvbs in 1. Is cvbs in 1 same as your in video ccd avin or somehwere also says video in. I need to connect my parking camera to it but im not sure if cvbs in 1 is same just different labled or not? Please help

Hi,i have Skoda Superb 1and excuse me but i have a similiar plugs but camera cables have on older function with backlight plugs. I Have problem with can bus and can't work so can you tell me what i doing wrong ? Do I must change Gateway firmware ?? Thx for advise

Thank you very much for this video, helped me to realize that I needed the adapter box for the rear camera. Any advice on steering wheel buttons not beeing recognized by the android stereo? cant figure out why dont work. Also my CC 2013 came with navigation, do I need to use the GPS box provided with the stereo or can I use the factory one? thanks from Argentina!

@@4eignr Hi, I bought an Isudar T72+, works fine, you will need cable adapter and boxes. A box and cables for the rear camera (comes all together), that's the most difficult to install, but it's not that hard. Also if you have the shark fin antenna probably will need an adapter for the "fakra" plugs. If your car came with navigation another cable adapter is needed for the GPS antenna.

I didn't realize that either. Glad I found the video. Ordered the rear cam adapter box today and a little nervous about splicing, but the video was very straightforward. DId you ever get the steering wheel buttons to recognize? I tried going into the factory settings and verified it was the Raise protocol for VW, but every time I try to assign the steering wheel control I get a red error message. I've got the dual fakra white plug for radio antenna, so I think I'll need an adapter for that. I think I need a fakra to coaxial adapter for the factory GPS antenna. I'm assuming it will be placed in the sharkfin, so better reception than the one included with the unit.

Nice tutorial, but i have a question, do you have problems with the battery of the car and the tablet did really shut down with the "shut down button" or just go in sleep mode like the normal android tablets. I have the same model, just bought it and place it on my Passat B6 2006, it run perfect but i think it runs non stop even with the key removed. Am i wrong but i think its normal when you put the key into the keyhole then the head unit have to start not all the time.

@@adimatei6684 Yes i did that and it worked, can`t remember what colors were the cables but they were with separate connectors, i just unplug them :)
