I had the same issue with another brand of fan it came with a remote. I bought a 3D printed holster for it to put it next to door and I just leave it there. I wish they came with gangbox switchs.

I added another video that shows how to use a smart switch with this fan. Might give you some ideas to see if you could do the same for yours: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/otqcmb1-xKeaZHU.html

If you have the fan on and you turn the power off at the wall switch does the fan remember the current speed and light settings when you turn the power back on at the wall switch? In other words does the fan spin back up when you turn the switch on at the wall?
@jackstromberg
@jackstromberg 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the fan will remember what setting it was on. I set the fan to "3" for fan speed, flipped the breaker to the room, and turned it back on. Fan speed remained at 3 and started to spin up again.

Nice upgrade! Did you ever connect it to Wifi?
@jackstromberg
@jackstromberg 3 ай бұрын
Yes--it's been connected via WiFi. Only supports 2.4 Ghz network which is unfortunate. Implements WiFi 4 functionality | MIMO Configuration 1x1.

Where does the red wire go?
@jackstromberg
@jackstromberg 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Mike! The red wire isn't used by this fan, so you can use a wire nut to cap it.

@@jackstromberg I have 15x17. Not sure if 52 is good enough or need 60 Extra $200 for upgrade in size

@@4rdzlla here are the recommendations from BAF: 52 inches (132 centimeters): 15 ft x 15 ft coverage. Ideal for smaller bedrooms, walkways, and home offices 60 inches (132 centimeters): 20 ft x 20 ft coverage. Perfect for family rooms, master bedrooms, and kitchens 84 inches (132 centimeters): 30 ft x 30 ft coverage. Great for open floor plans, workshops, and covered outdoor spaces In this case, either is fine. If you want someone to say "Wow, that's a BAF!" then go with the bigger one. It would also let you move more air movement at a lower RPM, theoretically being a tish quieter to operate. 52" fan is going to move a ton of air though, I never run it even remotely close to max.

@@jackstromberg do u think the uplight puts out enough light to light a room
@jackstromberg
@jackstromberg 2 жыл бұрын
@@4rdzlla I don't have the uplight kit on my fan, only the Light Kit that faces down. The fan is in a bedroom and the light kit is definitely bright enough to illuminate the whole room, but I also have some lamps that are used if lying in bed that are much more indirect.
