The Haiku L Series smart fan works with Alexa and automatically turns on when you enter the room. It keeps your room cool while using less energy and is all around one of the nicest fans we've ever used. Of course, this means that it comes with a big price tag, so we break down if it's worth it in this video.

Hi, are these fans DC motors? Is the LED light a “down light” or will it light up the whole room?

This is exactly what I was looking for. A fan that will work with echobee smart thermostat. I’m looking for a ceiling fan to turn on prior to the room reaching the temp of the thermostat in order to maybe prevent the actual AC unit from turning on.

If I'm not mistaken the L series is the only one that needs the wall controller. I believe the I and above have the motion and etc built in the fan

Looks like you are correct, the L series needs the wall control for motion but the higher end modals have the SenseME built in.

I didn't think the wireless wall switch paired with the haiku L. I only see the wired wall control on their website now. I don't want the wired switch as I imagine when it's switched off the remote won't work

If you don’t have the Wifi module, you might wanna connect it to the bond. But if you do have the WiFi module you won’t need the bond.

The Haiku H has the sense me in it the L series doesn’t! But they are both beautiful! :) I actually just ordered the H 🙊 that’s a lot of mooooola

It is a lot of money but Haiku fans are amazing. I didn't realize Haiku stopped selling the wall controller for the L series so you are right it doesn't have sense me if you buy a new fan now. I just spoke with them and they stopped selling the wall controller with sense me in April but they have a limited supply if you call in and order one by phone. Enjoy your fan!

$600 is really high for just a smart. I replaced my fan switch with a GE Z-Wave In-Wall Smart Fan Control and it does the job very well.

Can you turn off the sense at bedtime so the light doesn't come in in the middle of the night?

Fan worked great for 3 months and then stopped going to the higher levels, clicked it to only 3 or 4. Any ideas how to reset it or what may have gone wrong?

@@PennTech226 Thank you. My wife found some alternate reset directions online that worked using the remote and the swoosh and power buttons.

with a simple sonof control, that can be installed iu any ceiling fan, You cam do the same thing, Saving Lots of money

Pretty expensive. You can buy a cheaper fan & control with automation switch. Also this one works with google home

Yes it can. You can just switch it in the app, it's really easy.

Smart Home Solver I’m definitely going to get one in the future. I was thinking about the L series but I saw that you told someone that they only have a small number of sense me switch available so I might get the H series instead.

The blue light actually sanitizes the air with UV light.

WAY OVER PRICED Piece of crap. The old fan was about 10 years old( and working) ,wife thought this would be a nice touch to the remodeled bedroom. It worked for about a year with a few bugs here and there. Now when the fan is turned on it runs for about 10 seconds it beeps the light blinks reverses Direction, it constantly does this. The owners manual and technical support (what there is of it )has been no help at all.
