How To: Install eBay Headers on a 2015 Kawasaki Z1000

2 жыл бұрынHey guys! So in this video my friends and I install a eBay header kit on my 2015 Kawasaki Z1000. It was kind of a pain to install it because the kit didn't come with any instructions. I also had a lot of fitment issues, but it was bound to happen because in the description of the product on eBay it does say that it's possible for the item to have fitment issues. The header kit was only a couple hundred dollars so it's not too bad, but you do get what you pay for. Hope you guys enjoy the video! Please leave a like, comment, and SUBSCRIBE!

Installing those springs was my favorite part 😂👍 But Loctite melts and burns off ...won't do anything for that exhaust.

Oh they’re the worst lol honestly I feel like the loctite helps.. I’ve torqued down header bolts before without using loctite and they’ve vibrated off.. but then again it’s probably me riding it hard lol

Try vice grips to pull the springs

So I guess you didn't swap out the header copper gaskets? If they leak from already haven been torqued down by the old header the ticking sound will make you think its a valve adjustment but its not, its those copper gaskets they must be torqued down evenly to spec so that they crush flat and don't leak, if you don't torque them you can burn the gaskets and have a leak, I think they are just over $10 each.😮

Now that I think about it. I definitely did not lol but good to know now! I’m going to have to get myself a new set of gaskets lol thanks for the info!

I have not lol I’ve still been debating whether to get a tune directly through the ECU or to get a power commander

I would get the ECU flashed because the flash will delete o2 senor and also block the pair valves
