I love fmf! but on my ktm exc 125 i like the akrapovic silencer best :) the pipe on it is fmf though and is AWESOME.

Yes, especially a full system. Mostly on race bikes and quads thought. You can get away with it on some trail models. You could to a slip on and not re-jet and it would still run pretty well on a race bike. If you do a slip on and an air filter, you are pushing it, but you should be fine. It is always better to just re-jet anyways though.

Will the megabomb fit a kfx450r? Because I’ve seen people with them on theirs but the fmf website says it won’t.

Akra doesn't suck. They are all great systems. Each is to their own, just because you've never owned a Akra or never liked them doesn't mean they suck. Get your facts right.

i have a 2 stroke, and let me tell ya, it sucks when you're in the city! I'd love to do some work on my bike, and right when I start up the bike, my neighbors come running along haha!

i put a full fmf pipe on my yz85 and didnt have to rejet spark plug were perfect, and we did it right after a rebuilt

Check the color of the spark plug, if your running too lean (will look very light or almost white) then yes.

Not always, if u put it on just startup the bike and just go for a little ride, if its a little weird then you can start experimenting ;) i suggest buying a jetting kit for your bike incl needle and all most jets..

Well, my mate if your still intrested after 1 year It depends if the bike bogs or is lean. All this can be check by checking your spark plug and throthle response ;)

No I had the problem of the high temp o ring burn out. Huge exhaust leak. No longer run the pipe

I didnt use silicone the first time. Leaked like a mofo out of the slip joints, terrible fit on a 1000 dollar pipe

+joshua stewart No, mess with the jets when you change the elevation your riding at and also if you live in a warm climate if your going riding somewhere very cold you may want to adjust jets. Bolt on and ride with exhaust. you can research jet adjustments for your riding style and weather patterns to best suit you

+joshua stewart if you were a professional rider then yes someone would probably tell you to adjust them but it isn't really necessary for an amateur rider on a budget. you can look into further specifics on how much air/fuel difference there is with your certain exhaust you get. just a slip on muffler I'd say your fine. If your doing a complete exhaust system altering more air flow from the head pipe you may want to make small adjustments. hope it helps a little? BRAAP!

Just got it and it dose not work with the stock header on the 05 trx450r. It is significantly wider than the stock header.

The reason people run into trouble is because FMF is inferior. How fucking hard can it be to provide quality control? I shouldn't be dealing with a bolt that won't fit, and a cheap metal sleeve at the 500.00 price point. Never again.
