my 3070ti max power spike is up to 310 watts but i never go beyond 250 so its fine but don't worry i'll get new cables soon

Hey, I have vs650 psu and a770 gpu. I'm using original cable. Also my GPU has 250w power limit

i have 3x8pin GPU is there a problem when i use One Cable completely and one for half, is there any problem with it ?

@@Sidekaan depends on the card, the PSU and the thickness of your cables. Some PSUs have single rail 12v with cables capable of safely daisy chaining them. In regards to the GPU, an example of a card where it would be fine would be the 3060 ti asus strix card. The TDP is low and doesn't require a third cable. However, if you had something like a 3080 FTW3 or your average 3090. I would definitely use separate cables for stability and safe power delivery. Using separate cables in general is always the best thing to do but isn't absolutely necessary for all circumstances. It's a case by case basis. I wouldnt buy a new PSU if you're worried about not having that third cable unless it's absolutely necessary like in the case of using a 3090. Especially an aorus 3090 who's transient spikes (sudden spikes in power draw that can be 1.5x higher than the power limit of the card for a micro second) could force a shutdown on your system if it trips something on your power supply. Another case for using separate cables is a slight increase in performance but it's barely measurable and practically a non existent talking point.

I have a asus rx6700xt but my powersupplys only provides with a 8 pin pcie

i can't seem to find the right angle for the camera but i'll make a better one soon

maybe when i get a better monitor that will push the gpu

With pig tail, your not getting the full power to the gpu. You’re taking the power and splitting it between two ports. You don’t plug a washer and dryer into the same whole (one wire) you use different plugs.

Using separate cables for each power connector on your GPU is generally recommended for stable and reliable performance, especially with high-power GPUs. I daisy-chained my PSU in that video just to mess with some people. my bad 🤣

if you were using a different gpu before i suggest uninstall the last gpu driver first before installing a new one but if not just install the driver for the newly placed gpu

if you can't find the cables for the gpu this means your psu does not support it, you need to replace your psu. what's your gpu and psu model name?

@@MacCoyzkie Yo thanks man, I figured it out tho, my current gpu doesn’t actually need a psi cable, I mistakes the cpu cable with the gpu cable, and also on the power supply I thought the (pci) cable which literally says “pcie / cpu”. I’m stupid but I have everything fixed now, I just need to work with my dad to get the money, and actually buy the gpu first. I found one on Amazon for 269, pretty good price.

Don't worry I figured it out. Because my ssd is right next to my pcie I thout that where you put the SSD was the pcie slot so I didn't realise where I was meant to put my graphics card. I only have 1 pcie so that didn't help but I figured it out

if i'm not mistaken this was tested by gamer's nexus that it is better to have individual than the daisy chain; however, many might disagree with me but over the years i've been using daisy chain with my gpus and never hand an issue. my old rig from 2014 still lives up to this day and i constantly use that rig for gaming and editing, i upgraded back in 2021 and gave my old pc to my dad doing some dad stuff lol if you can use a separate one go for it but if you're lazy like me i think its fine to have a daisy chain

if you're talking about a fan_header like what's on the motherboard then its not necessary. some gpu have those just in case. but if you are talking about the fan header of the gpu fan itself, yes you need to plug the gpu fan in it

@@Reghwa ok as long as the gpu is plugged in your mobo's pcie and it has the proper psu pin connected to it then it should work. i've seen many gpu have these extra stuff that the motherboard already have like fan headers and rgb plugs and all. anyway as long as the essential things are plugged then that gpu is good to go
