This video will show you how to install iiwey T2 dash cam.

Wow, in the future, use the tool to remove the A pillar cover, and the glove box side cover, this will allow you to hide the wires completely, while tucking them well out of the way, for an easier installation. You can also use that same tool to pop your side molding loose all the way back, you do not need to remove it. You just need to loosen it instead of fighting the wire if you pop it loose you can simply drop the wire into the tray and then push the piece of molding tight again.

Don’t connect the wire to your reverse light lol. Unless you want just a reverse cam! If you want a constant camera with rearview, run it to the license plate, light, that will have your camera on as a police officer pulls up behind you, and will allow you to collect at least video possibly audio depending on your camera of what’s going on behind your car in a traffic stop

I'm not using for guidance in reverse, so Im not using the red wire, using rear cam to record the traffic behind me while I drive around, but it records in MIRROR image (licence plate #s and words are backwards) I turn left but recording shows me turning right, can that be corrected or no? Thank you

Hello, In order to safely use the reversing assist function, the rear camera screen is set to mirror format. If you want to view the normal picture, please use the "PotPlayer" player, and use the shortcut key "CTRL+Z" to flip the video left and right during playback. thanks

Why do you have to connect the rear camera to the reversing light? Does it not get power from the front camera, which gets power from the cigarette port?

hi, you may turn on the auto screenoff function, please check the system setting option "LCD Brightness", you can turn it off to make sure screen always on. Please note: will continue to record even if the screen is off.

We have a different model entirely (T1) but this is still the video that we were brought to for install help... Everything is about the same EXCEPT the T1 backup camera has a red AND black wire that need to be connected. Can I get away with just the red wire or do both need to be connected?

Hello, you need connect both. The red wire is connected to the live wire, and the black wire is connected to the neutral wire

sure you can! Connecting the red wire is only used for reversing assistance function, and not connecting will not affect the normal recording of the rear camera.

@@iiwey8108 thank you for that information. I already have camera in my car to help with that function. I live in DC I’ve gotten too many hit and run accidents I think most of these drivers don’t have insurance so this dashcam will help getting their license plate

For the back camera wire… do you splice it with the reverse wire? Also, how do you make sure it is waterproof? I feel like exposed wires, either spliced or not, are still dangerous…

yes, splice red cable with the reverse wire, you can wrap the junction with electrical tape, it will be dangerous if the cable is exposed.

Hi there. I hope somebody can help me with this question. If I have this camera on record and it is 5 min on loop recording and it is auto deleting, then if I have an accident how is the video then saved ? As soon as you have an accident you turn on the key symbol or how does it work ? Would appreciate some help thanks!

hello, this dash cam come with “emergency automatic lock” funtion, It work with gravity sensor. When your car is suffering a hit, gravity sensor will automatically lock the current video. and the locked file can't be covered by loop recording. In addition, you can manually lock the current video with one key, please refer to the manual. Thank you!

@@iiwey8108 we are all Good you don’t have to connect the wire to your tail lights for the rear to come in you just can’t change the resolution to 1080pi-1080 pi it’s has to be set to 1080pi-720pi! Then your good so no need to do all that wiring!!

I lost my manual. I don't know what buttons are what or how to set the date and time. Using the "m" button doesn't help me when I don't know which of the five buttons is the "m" button. And then moving around the screen. HELP!

You can play back the video on the host. Click OK to cancel the recording, and click the M key twice to open the video playback mode. If there is a playable playback video on the host, it is possible that your device does not support the video format, or your device can only read videos located in the root directory of the SD card: Video files are stored in three folders in the SD card, not in the root directory. hello, The 32GB memory card can only record less than two hours of video, so all dash cams record in a loop, new files overwrite the old ones, if you don't want the old ones to be overwritten, please turn off the loop recording. In order to save important files, please turn on the gravity sensor, then it will automatically lock the file according to the vibration of the vehicle. If you want to manually lock the video being recorded, please refer to the manual (usually press the M button).

T2 has no wifi function, so it does not support app connection. You can playback video on dash cam (click mode button twice into file preview page,long press UP button switch fron/rear/inside view), or using the Type-C cable (provided in box) connect to your computer to preview.

sorry, No app to connect, it doesn't have a Wifi fuction, you can preview video on dash cam, or connect dash cam to computer by provided type-C cable

I just got mine set up. The basic model. Footage is pretty good. The rear-camera footage is L-R reversed, but I don't think that's a big issue.

"M" button at the bottom of dash cam main body, Long press M button to open the setting page, then press M button again switch setting page to system setting, find date and time option.
