systemctl stop touchinjector

FYI... in KOReader you can download dictionaries. I have a question though. I have an epub greek bible. But KOReader cannot display greek alphabets. Any solution?

No annotations but you can highlight, and crop easily and view in landscape mode, etc.

I have recently discovered your videos and LOVE them. Thanks. I am torn between the A5X and the RM2. I admit I will use it mostly for reading but have all epubs and pdf's. The ability to pull articles off the internet and read them with a browser extension.Also the convert writing to text is nice also. Finally the build, look and quality of the RM2 is what pulls me. Do you have any suggestions having used both?

I agree... there is something magical about the rM2. It’s like the iPhone in a way. However, I’m 100% using the Supernote A5X as my primary device. You can print any website to pdf and copy it to the device, btw.

I wanted to read .cbz files (Manga) on my remarkable 2, yet I can't transfer most of the files. I think it might be due to file size (just below 7.000KB works, 7.400 doesn't.). The message I get is "Received SSH2_MSG_CHANNEL_DATA for nonexistent channel 0". It does transfer the smaller files without an issue. Is there a file size limitation for WinSCP or the remarkable itself? Any feedback would be really appreciated! Edit: Apparently the directory I tried to transfer to, root, has only a limited amount of space assigned to it. It worked once I created a folder in root/home and transferred the files there.

Can KOReader be installed on rM1? What changes to the steps found here should be followed?

use the KOReader menu's Exit command to close out of KOReader in a way that next time you start it it'll bring you back into the book to the page you left off on

Can you specify how to "use the KOReader menu's Exit command"? I can't seem to find anything... Edit: Found it! Upper menu, left most tab, last point "Start with: X". Change to "last file".

My RM2 was delivered a few days ago (refurbished) with Version 2.5.1.45. The software update function is broken and I cannot update to the current version 2.10 or any other version. Does anyone have an idea what to do and point me in the right direction? Is there a patch out I can apply? I am not hack savvy...

I installed it following your instructions and when I swipe up, it just restart my Rm2. So... it doesn't work. I have the ddvk hack installed.

i did so you just showed. Everything almost were the same during install except that the: started touch gesture, you can long swipe up, to switch to koreader

Hi, I just followed your step but I noticed that the command just skip the step "connect to build.koreader.rocks", and at last I can't open koreader. How do I fix it.

The built in reader in remarkable is very basic. Koreader allows to read many more book and document formats, and also allows for in-document navigation. In the remarkable app, links in the documents do not work.

That’s not an error. Are you connected to WiFi with the remarkable?

@@EVERYTHINGcpo This error happened to me as well. I SSHed to the reMarkable via Wifi. But I waited a couple minutes, tried again, and it worked.

Hi. I'm having I guess the same problem as some others. I've tried it now multiple times, can't get it to function (and yes, I'm connected to wifi). It begins as yours in the video, but after the first "Downloading files..." your says "Connecting to build.koreader.rocks ..." and mine says "Connecting to github.com (140.82.121.3:443)" and then does quite a few lines about TLS certificate validation not implemented along with more connecting and then there's a few lines such as librm2fb_cient.so.1. in between the TLS certificate lines. So it does not seem to download koreader. Any tips?

@@tinybuddha8379 hmmm. Last guy I talked to that it didn’t work was because he was on a RM1. It is possible he changed the script to point to GitHub instead. Maybe I’ll try it again later today to see what it does for me now.

@@dot5816 KOReader has a ton of plugins for a large assortment of things Plato is more focused on the standard e-reader experience with some nice tightly integrated features. Personally I prefer Plato for how it looks and it seems to perform better.

Fairly speaking this is the reason (with monthly fee for gdrive and Dropbox) why remarkable sucks. Onyx good lumia is much more open and you can install whatever apk you want.

Folks, anyone got this working recently? I took the sh script from the link, and updated the link to a koreader's build with one of those here: build.koreader.rocks/download/nightly/ Then I just copied the entire script into shell. It did something, but koreader does not work. If I swipe up, the screen blinks a few times, and RM2 restarts. Any hints? Thanks!

I just did it, but using Toltec, not the way in this video, based on someone's suggestion that Toltec makes it much easier to reinstall/update koreader in the future if xochitl gets updated. This video is a year old. It’s probably changed a lot since then. New versions of the RM software and hacks have come out since then. Sorry.
