I think your spot on with the reason that the pendents are towards the windows in bedrooms. It's to stop a shadow being cast on to the curtains.

Big up little man James well done mate ... future spark! ..... also the lights being at the window was back in victorian times there never used to be curtains there used to be nets and men got jealous of other men peeping at the figure of their women so to minimise the shadow of her body through the nets they but the light as close to the window as possible to force the shadow to the back of the room rather then through the window. Great video thank you m8. We have a problem with our spots falling down. We got most of the rooms repainted and the painters pulled the spots down and damaged the plaster so none of them fit tightly in the ceiling. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

hi. great vid is it bad practice to use a wago box above a light fitting loose or should you screw it ane tie clip and also is it bad pratice to put all connectors in a wago box loop in, loop out, and swith in wago and then run swatch live, neutral and earth into new light fitting using another connector like the click connectors
