Why did you need to heat them up ? I replaced them all on my LS1 engine before Xmas after doing a lifter replacement job without heating them & no probs so far,I just torqued the bolts up to 12 Newton metres & no leaks still !

Or… you could just dab a little oil on them and up them in nice and easy.🤷🏼‍♂️

Which years and models have the Valve Covers with the PCV Valve Grommets? I have one with a hose barb but I'd like the grommet style.

Whoever had trouble with their grommets probably had the wrong ones or they were defective because I had no issues putting mine on... a child could do it🤷🏿‍♂️

You don’t need to do this you must have a very bad gasket kit if you need to do this , the gasket kits are flexible enough that this is unessecery

whatever you do dont heat them up , you warp the rubber , and if you are using grease use rubber grease the grease has petroleum products that eat into rubber , and dont put those bolts on with a air tool !! just about everything you can think of is wrong with this
