* Don't forget to set the programs.exe in Display settings ~ Graphics settings ~ Graphics performance preference to "High Performance (P106-100)"
* if somehow Nvidia control panel and PhysX is missing after the installation, you can manually install it. it's within the package of the driver

@@bearabletable7527 It's only my test machine. I did it out of curiosity. GA -H110 and g3930. It works really well. In registry, AdapterType in my case was in folder 0001 not in 0000.[

why when i plug in p106 to pci e 3.0 x16 on asus vanguard b85 i have error code 12 in device manager on intel hd 4600 but if plug in to pci e 2.0 x4 work fine but lower performance

can this procedure can be apply for normal gtx 1070 (which have fault output port). But windows can detect it but It have yellow exclamation mark after install window

do not open the Nvidia control panel before the PC restart. install the driver > restart PC > install the PhsyX

you mean PCIex 1.1? that's the downside of this GPU. even tho the spec is identical to GTX 1060, there's no way (as far as I know) to use PCIex 3.0

@@lonewolfnomadic3403No, that's not the problem. For some reason, on new versions of drivers I have OpenGl version 1.1, and on older versions of drivers (for example 417.22) OpenGl version 4.6.

install ddu and remove nvidia driver pc will restart. Disable internet connection and microsoft defender. Install nvidia moded driver.

no. P106-90 is the equivalent of GTX 1060 3GB

For some reason doesn't work with my 2500k. Earlier i used p106 with 5600g, but now i switched the platform, tried every tutorial, and it's not working. Driver installing, but high performance still shows hd3000 graphics. I tried your tutorial, the changes in dxdiag happened only after i restarted with non sign-checking mode. But still, i can't see p106 in nvidia control panel and in graphics settings - high performance.

This only works from 4th gen and up. 2nd gen is out of the question.

( 4th gen bullshit is debunked ) For me Nvidia does not show up in the "high performance settings" at all, just intel HD, but the system is automatically using Nvidia GPU at 3D applications automatically. My setup: -Lenovo M82 socket 1155 3th gen i5 -intel hd 2500 -p106-100 6GB installed as GTX 1060 6gb I only changed global 3D settings in the Nvidia panel to the GPU, and it works.

You debunk nothing gen 2 i5/i7 is not same as generation 3th... On some asrock z77 board there are even special lucid logic chips that suppport any "pool" of gpu to run a single frame compute device.. generation 3 and up where the days of hybrid gpu setup 😂😊@@solaris4988
