I was hoping that this would give me a clean install, but it did pull my Serato information, so I'm not sure if "Serato Play" is installed or not,
In pro, I have the option to disable the plugin, but not on Serato DJ Lite 3.0
Would love it if anyone could confirm whether you can play the track or not with stems enabled?
You will need a controller for the rest of the live functionality but it does look like you can at least test the Serato Stems feature on Serato DJ Lite 3.0
Beta Serato Stems is an incredible feature and truly sounds amazing.
And this is only the first Beta version! Can't wait to see the future of Serato Stems

Hey! Great videos and very happy to hear about stems! I love recording vinyls and chopping samples. I use Audacity for the vinyl recording and Ableton with Push2 for producing. Now, what i loved about Serato Stems is of course the sounds separation but I dont own any Stand Alone machine to be able to use it, outside of Ableton. But I feel like i need this one, specially for that price seems very good. Do you recommend just dowloading the Serato Dj Lite and buy a small and simple 16 Pad just to be able to chop in Serato and then export to move it to Ableton for the real work? But this makes 2 workpaces in case i need to check-adjust the pieces made from Stems inbetween the process. Could I use Stems inside of Ableton? I guess not/

@@TheDJConnect Unfortunatelly I recently got a Windows PC lately. I would had gone for Mac just for the Stemverter now.. So next most practical thing is I guess to buy a small Pad to just enable Stems and be able to use it on busy samples. + I would love to use the Serato Bpm and the pitch adjust (within Ableton preferably) which applies perfect and there is no need to warp for most cases like in Ableton when inserting new recorded sounds.. Also thanks for the answer!!

@@inuraste6595 Ya brother no worries at all!! So I don't want to lead you in the wrong direction here as I'm not an expert, There have been alot of guys who say stems isn't available for free in light, So take that with a grain of salt. It LOOOOOOKS like from the video you are good to go, and I would think it is, But I just dont wanna advise you to buy a board and it not be available. But ya, just a little controller to run serato is it, And than a way to record your interal audio, I dont think record is available on SeratoLite

I've got this installed. It works (mostly). I don't seem to be able to trigger it with just the controller. I have to use the mouse and the Serato UI in order to toggle any of the stem functionality. If I go to settings -> dj preferences then I see an option to replace loop roll pad mode with stems. I've got that checked. I've got the rev1 controller. The roll option is triggered with shift+auto loop. If I hold shift and hit auto loop I get a message that tells me I should get the pro version of the software. I've got the lite version. I can see the stems. I can trigger the stems with a mouse. I've got that software. Either this just doesn't work with this controller, or I'm doing something wrong.

Crisis averted. I downloaded the full lite version after that comment. The new patch for the lite version released today. Previously (earlier today), I was using the beta version of lite. With this version the option to place the stems functionality on your pad is a little different (it didn't work at all for me on the controller I have). Now it replaces the sampler. When triggered, it doesn't change the UI. So, you have to knot what each of the pads toggle vocals - melody - bass - beat So, if you hit the last three pads you'll get directly to only the vocals of a track

I have the Piooner DDJ REV1, I use the Lite version of Serato DJ, and I updated to version 3.0 It turns out that now the sound does not come from the controller to the Sony Device or from the headphones, only the sound comes out from the PC itself I already changed it in the control panel / Sound / for the PC's Realtek Card, even so, only the sound comes out of the pc's speaker Can you help me ? I use Windows 10 Home Single + PC Core i5 + 12MR + SSD Thanks, DFZulu Brazil

It would be in your serato settings Audio settings In cog wheel Without seeing if I'm not sure I'll check rom

@@TheDJConnect , In the settings, in the audio tab, the AUDIO OUTPUT option is marked (Use LapTop Speakers), and the other option is not marked ( MAKE AUDIO AVAILABLE FOR OTHER APPLICATIONS ), even so I turn on DDVREV1 and the music only comes out on the PC

Hey I'm on the computer now Break down for me what everything looks like, or if you can upload a pic to tiny pic or something post the link What speakers you have What cable are you using ? Should be rca out from master into an amplifier/speaker Crank the master level Headphone volume shouldn't be affected no matter what

@@TheDJConnect , Now in Serato the following message appears: CONNECTION ERROR Hardware cannot connect to Serato DJ Lite, I think it's an error with Win10 users, because before it was working, now Windows doesn't recognize Serato

Exactly same for me, but I've only got the keyboard sign and mic sign showing up in the stem section

Ok hahahahaha Ya without serato dj license, that's as far as they will let you play But they at least let you play around with it and hear how it sounds !
