Hi Ed,, Works great, took a little while to load 2 SRX sets in but well worth it.. I can see using this live, change sounds when on break so will work out well.. Plus added the iPad Air 2 with 64GB storage, so will get the sound canvas working too.. Great video, thank you for all the tips..

I have just performed the steps on my FA07 for Strings and Brass (EXP 07 and 08) collections and I can find them directly on the String / Brass category folders, no need to change for PCMS and unlock, etc as on 4:42 explains. Even more smoothly done, probably because of the update

Thanks for showing the tips. I bought the FA 08 a couple of weeks ago and your videos are brilliant for showing how to master it :) . I was a bit gutting to find there's no PC editor for the synth , the ablity to drag and drop samples from the PC desktop to FA 08's internal sampler without messing around with SD cards would be a game changer. Who would need Maschine. But don't get me wrong the Roland FA is far better than the other synths in the class. Thanks again :)

Hey Ed, great videos and thank you for all you do! Question: Can you export .wav files from the FA06 sequencer edit them and put them back into the sequencer or is the FA06 sequencer midi only? I'm really missing my ALESIS FUSION HD6 for that reason.... looking to replace it.

Hi Ed, your videos tutorial did a lot of help so far... and I thank you for that... I have question. After installing sound library in my Fa08 from Axial, I found some sounds that I need. The problem is what if I need some of that sounds from different libraries all together in my FA08 as it only provide 2 slots library at a time.. What should I do?

thks Ed for your tutorials, i have a question regarding the sound managing , is it possible to manage sounds from mac/pc? as we can do with roland jdxa folders? for example sometimes i need to move sounds in the studio set user adapting to the playlist of the show and it's a bit complicated to transfer sounds from a position to another, deleting and moving. it should be easier to do it by mac than transferring the folder in the sd card and having the playlist ready. thks

Hi Ed, just double checking - if I create a studio set with one of the Brass EXP sounds for one gig, then remove the Brass EXP to put in a different EXP pack for a different gig, will the brass sounds stay in place in that studio set? Meaning if I come to the gig where I need the brass soudns again, I just have to load them up beforehand and they'll be in the same place they were before I removed them?

I’m having problems when I hit the preview button and the on button... I get the “Wave Update Mode” but my Sampler keys do not light up... suggestions?

Have trouble loading in some stuff from axial. Iv figured out some of the expansions. Expansion 1-11 Iv got, but it’s the pad patches I’m having from with. For example the download “captain chill trap future bass bank pack”. I guess I’m asking how do I load the bank pack. It’s a PADCONF.BIN But won’t pop up when I hold preview and power on. Any thoughts?

Does the flash drive need to be empty? May I have the sound library in a folder? I noticed that your flash drive was originally empty and you are not using folders. If you download an exp, say Piano sounds how do you send it to that file in your Roland or will it just automatically put instruments from your flash drive into the right section ?

Is there a way to get the d50 factory patches (specifically “nightmare” to play Flock of Seagulls I Ran) for the fa-08? The exp11 had some D50 but not that one. Seemed to have the Trance patch, but not Nightmare. Thanks if anyone can help.

Mr. ED Diaz, At the outset, a million grateful thanks to you for the videos on various aspects of operating the sounds etc. on Roland FA 06 or 08. I have a Roland FA 08 purchased 10 months ago. It is upgraded to version 2.03. In consonance with the guidance shown in the video, the addition of sounds downloaded from Axial website, it is seen that at any given point of time only two expansions are accepted. For instance, if EX 01 and EX 02 are loaded and then when EX 03 and EX 04 is to be added, then EX 01 and EX 02 is removed. Unable to comprehend the reason for this. Is it possible to add all the Sounds in EX 01 to EX 11 without losing any sound? Request to please guide. I am from India.

Having problems can't load any of the Sound Libraries. I followed the video as well as the online documentation. It always ends with Error !! (Enter:Retry): when I finish. I put all ten files on the USB. The sounds are not showing up as selections either. I've tried two different brands and sizes of USBs. I'm on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

It would be helpful for people who are super new to this instrument or any instruments like it to have a "dummies" version of these videos that slows everything down and specifically mentions and explains each step as an alternative to these videos for the savvier customer.
