Hello Ed. I have a FA-08 and I would like to use an external midi keyboard to play tones from the Studio Set (for example, configuring the piano to be played by the full keyboard of the FA-08 and a lead synth by the external midi keyboard). I didn' find in the configuration of the studio set a way to address the midi channel for the external midi keyboard and a way to configurate the tone to be played only by the external device. Please check if can you help me.

I’m importing a sample of a big sub hit, and while previewing the file before importing it sounds totally fine. after importing there’s a huge high frequency buzz when I hit the pad. I’ve tried normalizing, importing different file types, bitt rates etc, however they all sound fine in preview before importing, and all have a high frequency buzz after importing. any advice? thank you!

So how do you save SOUNDS and not programs/sequences? I just want to create a sound and be able to refer to it quickly in a gig - honestly doesn't seem possible for a synthesizer? What's the point of being able to create and alter the sound if you can't even save it? So disappointed w this keyboard to be honest going to sell it probably.

We just got a used Roland FA 06 and you have helped us more than you know. We got it on Friday and it’s now Monday and I’m very comfortable with it. It’s our first workstation and now that I know what I’m doing it’s so easy to use. You’re a great teacher. Very clear instructions. Thank you so much!

The samples are not saved in a scene, but there's all this talk of using samples as intros and backing tracks. How does that get connected to each song(scene) I call up.

Question to Ed. What if u press F8 to format USB Memory thumb drive and it doesn't allow you to press OK. " A screen pops up saying..... USB Memory Not Ready! I've turned off the board and tried to start over. (Same thing pops up)

@@EdDiazKeys Thanks, Ed, it worked great, only took ten minutes! It works as planned! A full bass, plus 5/7th of a piano at the same time! Or a bass, two octaves of both piano and organ, plus an octave of a synth or sax! Our 3-piece band is going to sound even more awesome! It feels like it took forever to learn the DS, being a bass player. But now, with the help of a lot of folks, you included, we're covering stuff no other bands having five or fewer people can touch! We all three sing, lots of harmonies too.
