I'm wondering what happens when you click on a new channel? Does it make you also select a watch live tv button as it does on my spectrum tv phone app? I use to have a cable box and I got into the habit of scrolling a lot, and having to click something twice to see what is on the channel would get tedious after awhile. A few of the other streaming apps I've tried that have guide based interfaces don't make me do that, so I'm hoping spectrum doesn't either. Thank you.

Have a new Samsung tv, 32”, couldn’t download Spectrum and was delighted to find your video. Alas, even with your instructions, I still can’t download Spectrum. I want to be able to watch current live network stations, not reruns. Looks like I am going to have to get a Roku. It has been a frustrating time trying to get what I want out of a tv. My old tv wasn’t a smart tv and I am about ready to set it back up.

I’d like to see a video showing how you DVR from the app. I’m told by Spectrum it is an option in the menu as long as I have subscribed the Cloud DVR but I don’t see it as an option on my Spectrum app menu on my SS TV.

Hi Juan, When I go to search and type in Spectrum tv the only options that come up are tv shows, movies, youtube and Web. There's no option to select apps. Any other ideas?

Why can't I stream on my TV using spectrum? Also when I try to log into my account using my samsung TV it's like it's trying to load but will not. No problems streaming on my laptop or logging into my account. Just on my TV. Thanks!!

I have a Samsung smart TV with the same remote shown in your video. How do you navigate back to the main menu where you can select "On Demand"? Also, can this remote be programmed to support the "Previous Channel" feature and other features on the Samsung remote?

You can't. The Spectrum app doesn't recognize number inputs.

The Samsung Universal remote that has the 123 button brings up a number line, can type (quickly) a channel then done to change channel instead of scrolling. Its not perfect but can work.

What I have found with some universal remotes is that they don't have the range that a branded remote has. Keep that in mind when looking for one.

All smart tvs will have some kind of menu like that. might not be at the bottom but it will have some kind of menu with those same options. if you can't find those options anywhere on your TV, you don't have smart tv.

Yes. You need to have a spectrum TV account with your chosen TV package and then an online account that's linked to those services. I think your TV has to be connected spectrum internet also but not 100% sure on that. Hope this helps.

I have spectrum streaming and it is the worst ever . I had 2 techs look at my internet, wifi and tv . Both admitted it was the app . They told me the app was extremely slow and if enough people in my area complained to spectrum, they would upgrade it. This app has caused me to hate spectrum even more. IT SUCKS !! Constant buffering and when you use the guide, you can't type in the preferred channel , you have to go through every channel. I have never been so disappointed and disgusted with a streaming service in my life . STAY AWAT !!! IT'S NOT WORTH IT !!!
