Spectrum is cable, unless you get their POS app that they just released (4/18ish/24) which requires Wi-Fi. Most people that have Spectrum cable also have Spectrum internet service. Spectrum internet doesn't offer Wi-Fi, only a modem. If you want to use their Wi-Fi you have to pay them $5.00 a month or buy your own router which is more cost effective. I have Spectrum internet, and 2 DVRs...they just raised my bill (again) and the price in now $260 a month. F them! I started my free trial of KZfaq TV yesterday. The DVR service is nowhere near as good as Spectrum and i lost a few channels, but I also gained some, for the price I'll live with the lackluster DVR service. They are getting their DVRs back on Monday and goodbye to their cable service. They did it to themselves with their ridiculous prices. Unfortunately I have to keep their internet service.

Assuming you use Spectrum internet for YTTV, the price is about $10 more if it's not bundled with Spectrum TV. Realize also that Spectrum DVR service (when I last had it) was $20 for the service + $10/receiver. I had 3 receivers, so it cost an extra $50/month + tax for that. YTTV includes unlimited DVR, doesn't need a cable box, and you can record and view on any TV or device on your network. About 6 months ago I signed up for YTTV and called Spectrum to cancel the cable tv. They told me about their streaming service. Their bundled price was about $10 more than I'd be paying for Spectrum internet + YTTV. I stayed with Spectrum mainly because it had 1 or 2 channels that YTTV doesn't have. Spectrum streaming only allows recording 100 programs vs. YTTV's unlimited DVR. Spectrum's price will undoubtedly increase a few times before YTTV if their trend continues, and I will reconsider YTTV or other streaming service.

I use T-Moble Home internet for YTTV. $50 a month for internet and YTTV $73, $78 with tax. It was cheaper than that but like always price hikes. If YTTV prices keep going up, it will be like before I decided to drop Spectrum internet and Cable, but then again, My last bill 2 years ago with spectrum was $217 and rising incrementally. I am still saving about $100 a month for now. The one thing about YTTV that makes it shine is the fact that one month if you want to save some money, you can go to your Google account and susped your service for up to 24 month and resume at any time without penalties and no re-connection fees. Xumo is still treated like regular cable where you have to pay fees and if you don't want it anymore, you still have to send them back the box. There are pros and cons between the two, but YTTV has more pros over Spectrum.

He forgot to add that Spectrum only streams in 2.0 Stereo. So if you own a surround sound system or even a soundbar, you are missing out on decades old technology. No Dolby Digital 5.1. This is where KZfaq TV has a big advantage. Dolby Atmos, 5.1, etc... You have to use a cable box to decode Dolby Digital 5.1. with Spectrum. RIDICULOUS by todays standards.

Spectrum charges my family $10.99 per receiver (we have 3,) 12.99 for DVR service, $23.20 broadcast surcharge, and a $7.73 franchise fee. In total there’s *$76.89 just in excess fees* and that’s on top of the *$114.99 for just the actual TV service* because they constantly creep up the price unless you call. Cable companies are a joke, they basically print money and provide terrible services.

@johnmoore1495 YTTV has gone up to 75 now, but all you have mentioned comes with the package at that price. I don't regret dropping Spectrum almost 2 years ago. It has its ups and down mainly if your internet is acting up you may get some buffering every so often, but it is still worth it and if you don't want to pay your bill sometimes, you can go to your Google account and suspend and reconnect any time you want with out penalties.

with youtube tv, you can get the 4k package and stream 4k content and simultaneous streaming to all 6
