Is there a way to make an outlet adapter so you could just plug it in like anything else? I just need it for under my rug

I’m sure it’s possible but probably will void any warranty. You still have to connect it the the thermostat and that to power

Nope, i missed it. I added it later on. Follow directions with kit, on how to install it. pretty simple.

Did you run the sensor wire through the same pipe your ranhe the floor mat wire?

HardieBacker 3 ft. x 5 ft. x 1/4 in. Cement Backerboard - installed it over the wood floor to have level surface.

I would be afraid of damaging the wires using the notched metal trowel over those wires.

How To with Lech I’ve been a tile installer for 17 years now so anytime I see tile videos my eye always goes to certain things lol but what I saw was the hardibacker, was it mudded down with thinset before screwing it down? That is a necessary step. And the troweling of the thinset needs to be raked in one direction only. When you trowel in multiple directions, the air gets trapped under the tile and cannot escape causing hollow pockets. You won’t get full coverage/bond. The way you ran the wire in the wall to the box was spot on. Always good to use a pvc pipe to protect the wires

@@HowToWithLech I was wondering why you're applying the thinset to the floor instead of the back of the tile? Wouldn't it be easier to just butter up the tile and set it down? It would still cover up the wires.
