yup - totally stuck with the RIGHT mirror - can't get the old out (2019 E63S Wagon with camera and everything else crammed in that mirror housing). Suggestions? Instructions?

same situation on my E63S. When I unclip the outside clip of the old puddle light and try to lift or pull it out it just wedges under the mirror motor assembly. Did you eventually get it to work?

So we had same issue, we cut the screw out to finesse it in. It took a long time to figure that out though

@@yaboibakalli - thank you so much for your response. I got pretty close to cutting that long post for the camera's screw which got seriously in the way. In the end I didn't. Here's what I did: as in your video I had taken off the cover, the mirror glass and that "antenna thingy". The entire side mirror assembly is pretty well fixed to the car and the lower part of the shell is stuck between both (the proverbial "rock and a hard place"). But the mirror glass motor (where the glass snaps into) is connected to that lower frame part by hooks in the bottom and 2 tongues at the top left and right of that round unit. If you unlatch the top then you can push up on that motor unit and down on the bottom shell. It won't come apart yet you gain a few millimeters. Unhook the outward side (= the accessible one) of the old puddle light, push it gently up and then pivot it over that screw "tower" while wedging the bottom shell down and the motor unit up. Once you're past that screw, you can gently pull the light out. Test the new light first then gently pivot it in while again applying some pressure to bottom shell (push down) and motor unit (up, ensure those tongues remain unsnapped) which will give you just about enough space to pass over that screw tower again. The far pin of the new puddle light should slide in nice and easy, then press down on the housing and use a screw driver to push the visible end of the light down until it snaps in. Now assemble the light again (or add some dynamic turn signals - if you do get the black ones - the clear ones let you see the light strip placed inside and the PCB / electronics which doesn't look good). Time to celebrate with a beverage of choice - or go for a ride and celebrate later. I hope my information helps anyone taking on that project. And yes, those lights look really nice. Pair with the AMG puddle lights in the doors!

the last car I held on to for 18 years (minus 2 weeks). The E63S Wagon ticks just about every possible box. No intention of replacing that any time soon. Ask me again in 10 years. Until then I enjoy those subtle mods including ECU upgrade, height adjustment control software, that snap in camera that replaces the plastic housing under the interior mirror, ambient light upgrades, Maxton Design front splitter, side and rear skirts and more aggressive diffuser and more that you' only recognize if you're actually familiar with the original model. More so as it currently has only 2 rivals: the Audi RS6 Avant and the Porsche Panamera Turbo S Turismo - both of them created barely 20 miles from AMG. To me that's the center of the world (well, that would be Freudental, which is 14 miles from Affalterbach, Neckarsulm and Weissach)
