Good eye! In this segment I'm using a demo unit that is used over and over so I do not use full torque.

You should always check your belt tension and make adjustments if needed after making suspension height changes. The last bike I installed our kit on did not require adjustment. After lowering your bike with our kit, the bike will stand taller on the kickstand, it shouldn't be an issue. That being said always pay attention when getting off bike when parking on uneven surface to make sure you're not on a spot that stands your bike too tall causing an issue.

They are machined to different specifications so I would recommend sending them back for correct part.

Simple answer is No! Our product is designed and tested for use on the stock M8 shocks. The kits have not been tested on other shocks for fitment or use and do not recommend it.

No, we do not have a video of that model. To install the lift kit/shock extension follow the video in this link-kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qb-jmtaJ2tfZpKc.html. The difference is you won't be removing any other OEM parts from the shock other than the OEM shock rod end. Once you have the OEM rod end removed simply replace with our extended rod end. Snug up the jam nut and de-compress shock and remove the tool. The idea is to shorten the distance between the shock mounts. We remove the required hardware including the washer then install our shock end to replace all removed components. All of this shortens the overall length of the shock thereby lowering the bike.

In this video the bike has a remote pre-load adjuster mounted under the seat that adjust with a tool or 5/16' socket. Those with a keen eye may notice the shock I'm working on at the bench is still a remote pre-load adjuster style shock but it has a knob you can turn by hand. The shock is the same, the remote pre-load adjuster is different. The important thing is they both use K66024. The 3rd style of shock has a silver ring with square holes in it. It fits around bottom end of the shock and it takes a shock spanner wrench to rotate the silver ring to adjust pre-load. This shock style has a different pre-load setup that is all mounted on the shock. That shock is covered in another video. It takes K66025.

You will not be modifying the shock rod or it's stroke. Only reducing the length between the shock ends. It lowers bike up to 1.5".

Yes, the procedure on how to install lowering kit on the shock is the same. Subtle differences on how to remove the shock from the bike because this bike has remote pre-load adjuster under seat and your bike has it under right side cover.

Yes the shock on the FLHCS would be the same style as on this bike. The video of the shock on the bench was actually one with the pre-load adjuster knob and uses the same Kodlin K66024 part as the FLHCS.

For someone like myself that is 5’4 with a 28 inch inseam sometimes lowering is the only way. I’m coming from a 2016 night rod which has a reduced seat option and although it worked was still not completely flat foot.

@@cody9371 true DAT...plenty threads n some friends who lowered the bike always regret post to lowering the bike. As Ryan's statement, it also makes sense to be flat footed when riding.

Did you back off the lock nut? Do not force it or you may gall the threads and lock it in place. I run the locknut all the way back. I use a wrench on the locknut then install a 3/8" extension through shock end leaving the bushing installed to protect bearings. The shock end will usually just snap loose and come off very easily. If not try using some heat on the shock end and use a thread lubricant like WD-40. Work the shock end back and forth to work lubrication into the threads and carefully work it off. You may need to do this a few times along the way. There is really no reason for it to be hard to get off unless it was installed with too much thread locker or installed with damaged threads previously.

@@kodlinusa6155 I did but eventually I made a little tool to block the counter nut and heated the head a little and managed to remove it. Just FYI it's a brand new Lowrider ST. I did the recall job on it at the same time (shock adjuster's bolt replacement).
