Accurate's David Nilsen shows you how to easily and accurately install our SPJ Handle kit onto a Valiant reel. All you need is a 5/64th allen head screwdriver and a 1/2 inch or 9/16th box wrench. Watch the video above and follow along with David to get your new handle arm on your reel.

what is the size of the shaft? 6x6mm or 7x7mm

If you guys run into a problem after you install everything and notice that you cant engage the button to go into 2nd gear or you notice that the button to release second gear to send reel into 1st is hard then you may have created a small bur on the nut you turned to unscrew the handle off, that bur is now creating friction you can feel it with your finger nail ! you can get a small file or sandpaper for metal to bring that bur down.And you're as good as new.

I overtightened the two speed plunger nut one hex point and it would not work. Loosened it up to the next point and it is fine!

Bought the spj handle a while back and finally got around to do the upgrade. Found out the 2 holes were not even drilled. Just 2 dipples. Drilled it myself and ended up breaking a screw in the hole…ended up using the original handle blank with the t-knob. Weird thing was the original handle stem screw broke in half as well…defects?

New one to us. Please send the handle back so we can review it. Send attention to Ben Secrest. Something doesn't sound right. Lets get it back and solve the issue.

first try after you replace the handle you push the 2 speed buttom it works then after that you were having a problem for the low gear to stay in, were you able to fix it?? and what did it cause that to happen

@@AccurateFishingReels Tony Gonzalez noticed the same thing I noticed . You replaced the Handle and when you engaged the 2 speed mechanism it worked , Then when you attempted it for the 2nd time it was Not working properly . It was very noticeable. So, I will ask you Accurate , Were you able to fix the problem with the 2spd mechanism not engaging on your second attempt , and what was the cause of it not engaging ???

Just got a 600NN and the SPJ handle. When i try to install the handle the drive socket pushes in to the reel. Can't slide the handle on, it push pushes in to reel... Ideas?
