Hey guys, John here of realtruck.com. Today I'm going to show you how to install a TruXedo Lo Pro QT Tonneau Cover on this 2016 Chevy Silverado.
Okay guys, you can see here we've got everything out of the box. Comes complete with everything you need to install it on the truck. Comes with the roll up cover itself, your side rails, bulkhead seal, your side clamps, and these are going to be the clamps for the rear. We have our spacers, and I'll show you guys what to do with those here in just a minute, and we have our instructions. So let's get these on the truck.
First thing we're going to do before we even get started putting our tonneau onto our truck is to attach a bulkhead seal. Now the reason why you want to do this is because if you have the side rail caps, they're a little bit higher than your bulkhead up in the front when they're sitting there so you need the extra seal to seal that up. However, if you have a spray on dead liner like we do on this truck, then you're going to want to attach this right to the bulkhead rubber seal on the tonneau cover, and it's really simple to do, you just do like this. 866-554-0581 Free shipping for orders over $100!

Watched this video a couple times and installed my tonneau without even needing to look at the directions. You need to make sure the rear clamp goes under the rail cap inside the stake pocket though.

I have a 2016 silverado 6.5 bed with factory bedliner. I cannot seem to get my tailgate to shut with the rails on. The rails don't seem to fit. It's very close but I can't quite get the clearance I need. I've even tried using a rubber mallet to force the rails closer to the cab. Any ideas?

My cover also seems like it is too close to my tailgate. I have a 2016 silverado 6.5 bed with a factory bedliner. I pushed the rails as tightly as I can against the cab. The tailgate closes fine, it just seems as though I have to close the tailgate hard to get it to click shut.

I have the same problem when I clamp the rail on and close the gate it pushes the front of the rail up out of alignment it is too tight. Tailgate also not closing properly. First the cover comes with broken hooks on the cover strap and also damaged rubber end cap so I call and Truxedo sends replacement parts now I go to install and it does not fit. Now I am really disappointed.

Everything’s in and looks good and works, but I have to slam the bed door to shut it. But not a huge deal

Not sure what went wrong but it installed just fine. Tailgate closed easily but now the tailgate wont open. What am I missing? Yes, the tailgate is unlocked.

+AirMaxPenny, Never had a problem with this cover making any sound. It didn't matter if the bed was loaded down or if there was nothing in there.

I purchase a cover for my 6.5 ft truck bed and there are 8 clamps in the box. All instructions I have seen has only shown using 6 clamps. These I am sure were for a short box 5.5 ft Has anybody used all 8 clamps?

Ron Sterr it depends on the brand of cover, but yes they usually only have 6. If it was me I would use all 8 anyway. 1 in the front 1 at the back and the other two on either side of the wheel well. I installed this cover on my truck and it was missing drivers side tension bracket and screw/bolt. Waiting for that to come. But my risks look like they go inward to the box. And making it difficult to latch. Not lining up. You didn't mention any tension bolts. Is there a truck to this? My cover flaps and it's not tight like yours is
