How many seconds (or minutes) can you sustain one note on your guitar just using your fretting hand?

I found it difficult to listen to the sound of the vibrato for too long, but I really liked the sound of the natural sustain followed by vibrato to extend it a bit longer. I guess it's similar to how a singer uses vibrato.

Vibrato proves time and time again why it is perhaps the most important technique to master alongside hand sync and good muting. No speed used yet the guitar was commanding respect and attention!

Could u still do that if it was a clean tone tho that’s the question

Thank you so much ! Though I found it rather more difficult to achieve with a clean sound at room volume and with single coils. It works, but not that efficient. You end up with a tiny sound anyways.
