Video Highlights: 1. Clean promotors / company / accounting - read 3-5 years of annual reports. - who are on board of directors? - 🚩 avoid if board has people from promotor’s relation like brother sister etc. - related party transaction ( direct disclosures available in every annual report) - 🚩 avoid if you see that the company is doing business with some other company which is owned by the promoter. - cash flow statement ( direct disclosures available in every annual report) if the business is making money or not? - ✅if cash flow is +ve - ✅ even better if (cash flow from operations) - (cash flow from investments) = +ve - if cap-ex is being done with cash flows without taking funds from outside like debt and eqity. 2. Assess for competitive advantages - IBSA Framework - keep asking & try to find out questions about “why does this company make more money than its competitor?” 3. Capital Allocation. - Look at history where the money is being used - Is the company expanding capacities to grow its core.? - or is the company sponsoring ipl and stuff? - is the promotor buying private jets? and personal needs? I have seen many interviews and I am simply in love with saurabh's approach,philosophy and overall understanding of life ,career and money making..

Saurabh Mukherjee has always advocated buying Asian paints for some reason. Have been following him for past few years and he had always mentioned Asian Paints. Also HDFC BANK.. At these levels HDFC BANK is a no Brainer and if BANK nifty does any good in the future (say 1 year) , than an upside of around 30 to 40 per cent in HDFC BANK cannot be ruled out. However, same doesn't go for Asian paints.

Final takeaway points -> 1. Do not look at the stock price. 2. Discipline Investing 3. Day to Day news are junk food for your mind, they rote your mind, 4. Stay away from Social media, which is designed to suck your brain power. 5. Learn to read company annual reports 6. Trading is a loser's game, investing will make you rich

I wish I knew Saurabh’s PMS earlier. I have invested 50L in ASK IEP and 50L in MotilalOswal’s NTDOP PMS. These PMSs are doing fine but Saurabh’s MARCELLES clarity on their stocks is par excellence.

To do list given at the end of the video : Salil : 1. Stop looking at the stock prices. 2. Inculcate a discipline to invest regularly for long term. Saurabh : 1. Train yourself to read annual reports (do a basic course like CFA level-1, how to read basic financial statement course and if you are lazy then refer page 110 of 'Diamonds in the dust' book which refers to the shortcut method or checklist) 2. Don't invest on your own if you can't read annual reports. 3. Avoid getting influenced by news and focus on your personal development. Rather than consuming the junk food (daily dose of news) read something about different subjects and topics. It'll help your brain to understand the complex patterns. 4. Pull yourself away from social media (at least do away with it from your mobile because it taxes your brain) Akshat : 1. To make money from stock market, don't depend on stock market solely.
