When you choose the BT Audio Source, the in-dash receiver is communicating with the default Music app in the actively connected phone. The music you are hearing is being played by your phone. If the music you want is on Pandora or Spotify, I recommend going directly to one of those sources on the in -dash receiver instead of the BT Audio Source. The phone needs to be connect to the in-dash receiver through Bluetooth in order to play through the Bluetooth Audio Source. Please be sure to change the in-dash receiver's Source to Bluetooth Audio. That's how the receiver knows to "listen" to the phone for music. If you don't want to use your phone for Bluetooth I recommend to copy your converted MP3 files, mentioned above, on to a USB flash drive and plug the drive into the USB port of the front of the DEH-S6220BS. When you are on a phone call, please be sure to raise the in-dash receiver volume to a listenable level and to check the phone’s call volume and raise the phone's call volume if necessary. The in-dash receiver uses the vehicle's battery for constant power memory functions. This is the function of the Yellow installation wire.
