Zo-Zu the Punisher is a Commander made for irritating your opponents to no end.
He does not tolerate fun.
The deck is quite fantastic to play, because it is designed quickly bring your opponents to a state of pure frustration, using all variety of red punishment spells and a heavy bevy of land destruction. But it isn’t just designed as a game stalling, misery deck, rather, Zo-Zu can accelerate games to their conclusion quite quickly, and that conclusion can have the skilleed Zo-Zu pilot come out on top. But even if you do lose, your opponets will be so frustrated and so unhappy that their victories will be hollow as the modern format. Spendid, simply splendid.

Nah, that's not bothersome at all. Not when your play group combo off at 5th or 7th turn. And even if the game lasts longer there is no efficient way in red to tutor crucible of world's. That's a gimmick deck at best and won't annoy players with built serious commander decks.

the answer is: use a deck that wins until turn 3, doing a lot of anoying cycles and kill everyone at the same time, after 15 minutes of tutors and extra turns. Next time you play, they will counter your landdrop ;p

Yeah lifegain is kind of the nemesis of these kinds of decks. You can't ping somebody to death easily if they have 100 life.

Built this deck and loved it. I cut back on the land destruction a bit to add some meat to the deck, threw in a dragon or two and a magmatic force for some late game damage dealing, added in Stolen Strategy for a bit of chaos and some random strategies.

I play a deck similar to this only Queen Marches leads the way. I use pillows and lifegain instead of land destruction but some of my favorites in the deck are manabarbs and painful quandary :D

Yup this deck is devious... But no where near unstoppable especially when you have 3 other players aiming at you... It's like trying to play with Skittles or atraxa as comie.

Make them choose who to gang up on, and then team up with the other annoying deck and basically make it 2v2. Table politics are something else, man. Just another reason EDH is the best.

@@notrolling-er1wq Riku is a nuts payoff. A 5 mana 2/2 with no protection thar does nothing until you cast another spell with 2 mana to spare is not a fast starter. To get value from Riku on the turn you cast him, you need at least 8 mana and 5 of that needs to be UURRG or UURGG with at least one other colored pip requirement

A fun commander I have always loved and have had fun with for years is Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest. The perfect balance of control and aggro. I would love to see what you would do with the commander. So far it is one of the most hated (besides Derevi for obvious reasons) in my play group.

Raphael Dean see that’s why I’d like to have a group hug deck. I like the interaction between decks at some of their bigger potential, but want to let it be at some cost to them here and there, not being completely oppressive the whole time. Let them play excited at how their deck is running, keeping their mind off the fun inducing, group hug player, and attack the other members of the group, and then sweep their legs out from under them, sometimes very closely depending on how well their decks fire off. And if I lose I lose, but we will all(hopefully) have had fun playing our decks to their potential. That may be a little too perfect of a situation but that’s how I’d want it

I would like to see your take on reaper king with an artifact focus. I see only a few versions of decks for him, but all are mostly the same focus on his ability. I have been trying to get a good list together with artifact synergies without a source to build from and would love to see a sample from some of the popular content providers

Why not play Sek'Kuar Deathkeeper? Instead of dinking people for a damage or two, you can animate all the lands on the battlefield, destroy them and be rewarded with a legion of hasty graveborn!

I've played for years, have multiple EDH decks, some better than others. I opened a Chromium, The Mutable promo at pre-release, and I'd love to finally make a Voltron deck with some kind of interesting twist. Think you could figure that one out well enough to do a video on it?

I've been tinkering with a Zo deck for a while now. Was planning on just proxying it since I know no one in my group will want to play it more then once. I certainly think I'll be grabbing this deck list and giving it a try.

This really reminds me of my Kaervek the Merciless punishment deck. Fun to put together and play at times but keeping the politics of the table from killing you can be a challenge.

I'd love to see a deck around Aminatou Two of the mandatory card there are felidar guardian and altar of the brood. This infinite combo with our commander will mill out all opponents that do not run any insurances against it. With an esper control shell full of ways to exile our opponents' graveyard, tutor up pieces, and draw them off our library with Aminatou, it can reliably kill by turns 7 or 8.
