Bro I previously had HEN 4.87 installed, but when I realised my PS3 model was CFW compatible (CECH-2XXXB) I just knew I had to fully jailbreak it, and I must say it was a lot easier than expected. Thank you for this simple but informative tutorial!

the PS3 Toolset (Supports All Firmware from 4.80 - 4.87), so in your case you need update the firmware, but before you need check if your console model is compatible

Syscon is the default fancontrol of the ps3 and it sucks. It will let your ps3 fry and do nothing. I sugest you to use the fantrol utility used in this video ou the one that comes with "webman mod".
