I love the envelope method-going to use that for staff training this summer, and I like the idea of creating the environment where wisdom reveals itself

Isn't that a fun framing! Just even mentioning it and talking about it begins to create that ethos and environment with a group I think.

This was great and I realize that it was recorded in May and I am just getting to it and it spoke to so many of the things that I think about when I am at a meeting. My nugget is the What are we all committed to in one word. If we state our intention right up front I think we would have a clearer and more concise meeting. Thanks so much.

Getting clear about intent (even if it is just that theme word) allows us to "meet for purpose-not for time." And thattt is a wonderful gift to busy people :-)

Thanks for this lesson, Chad. Speakership is a book I now want to check out. NUGGET: My biggest takeaway was the Envelope Method. It's a great way to make sure you're boiling your presentation/session down to key essentials. Love the previewing of big 3 early on and the call to action in the Envelope Method as well. #Envelope4thewin

Getting auditors or attendees to actually DO something increase their learning.

Yes. Even if there is a slight groan from a group, they'll be glad they didn't sit around doing nothing listening to ideas they'll never implement. There is some friction to participation, but it's vastly better for the brain!

Envelope method - classroom teaching adults - I think it gives opportunity to offer start engagement or research?

For sure. It creates a simple framework to chunk and organization information into a digestible format.

What was the word for the Google method?!
@chad.littlefield
@chad.littlefield 3 жыл бұрын
Love the curiosity here. The word is: Isumataq. From my current understanding, it can be translated to mean: the person who creates the environment in which wisdom reveals itself.

Your camera skills give me motion sickness
@chad.littlefield

Funny. This is one of three videos we tested out using a gimbal. The rest of the 400 videos on the channel are on a tripod... That said, I imagine "vlogs" where the camera is handheld create an instant trip to bathroom for you if this movement made you sick! It is interesting to me how the "trend" of video, especially short vertical video, is handheld, super shaky with fast, jarring cuts.
@stefan1669
@stefan1669 Жыл бұрын
@@chad.littlefield I don't know what shaky videos you watch but if you can't realized the face tracking is off putting then I suggest you think of a different career path, or learn to sit in one place rather than moving your head like a bubble head.

@@stefan1669 thank you for the compelling inspiration. Maybe I'll lean into the irony and start carving custom bobble* head dolls and selling them on Etsy instead of my current track.
