How to Know Who You Can Trust for Advice
Never take an advice from a quitter- Grant Cardone: I have a saying I live by: “Never take advice from a quitter.” And let me be clear-average people are quitters. They quit striving for a better life and quit short of their potential. So how can you live above the average line? By being all in and obsessed. Let’s look at some people who have proven that:
Steve Jobs said: “I want to put a dent in the universe.”
Martin Luther King Jr. said: “I have a dream. . . .”
Gandhi said: “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
Bill Gates said: “Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose.”
Muhammad Ali said: “I am the greatest.”
You know these people and their words and their work because they were obsessed-they weren't quitters.

Believe it or not I debate with my professors about this type of stuff weekly ! They tell me I'm wrong like they know better than I do, look at me crazy and try to persuade me otherwise. I just remind myself that they are the ones who have given up , they are the ones who continue to make excuses and settle. That's not going to be me . Thanks GC I'm not alone ✊🏽 Peace

It sounds like people have forgotten the actual historical meaning of the expression: “Drinking the Kool-Aid.” From Wikipedia: “Drinking the Kool-Aid” is an idiom commonly used in the United States that refers to any person or group who goes along with a doomed or dangerous idea because of peer pressure. The phrase often carries a negative connotation when applied to an individual or group. It can also be used ironically or humorously to refer to accepting an idea or changing a preference due to popularity, peer pressure, or persuasion. In recent years it has evolved further to mean extreme dedication to a cause or purpose, so extreme that one would "Drink the Kool-Aid" and die for the cause. The phrase derives from the November 1978 Jonestown deaths, in which over 900 members of the Peoples Temple, who were followers of Jim Jones, died, many of whom committed suicide by drinking a mixture of a powdered soft-drink flavoring agent laced with cyanide and prescription drugs Valium, Phenergan, and chloral hydrate, while the rest of the members, including 89 infants and elderly, were killed by forced ingestion of the poison. Perhaps you mean “drinking from a fire hose” which refers to a mode of learning where you immerse yourself almost beyond capacity into learning something new. Full immersion, as it were, in order to master the new thing as quickly as possible. Though I take your point, and it's an excellent one.
