Big shout out to Michael Jai White for Inspiring the test Mike used with Jonathan here! You can check out his channel here - / @realmichaeljaiwhite
Now this is a very common and simple strategy but in fights it's the fundamentals and simple strategies that work.
This technique has also been shared by famous martial artists and instructors like Bruce Lee. This simple trick is something many beginner and advanced fighters may be aware of but may often be overlooked.
Practice this in your training to achieve clean punches that are almost impossible to read or see coming.

In today’s video you learn how to land a knockout by hiding your punches.
This is a technique used by trained fighters that many on the street have no clue about.
I’ve never knocked anyone out but our good friend Mike Zhang (former North American Muay Thai Champion) has so we brought him on today’s video to show you this technique.
The technique is all about not telegraphing your punches.
Anytime you telegraph you give your opponent an extra split second to react and easily dodge your strikes.
Watch the video and train the techniques Mike will show you today!
Don’t forget to take Mike’s free body physique quiz here: bit.ly/2xXT5hV

I'm far from a pro but I've been training muay thai off and on for the last 4 years or so, and this was one of the FIRST things my coach taught us. I'm not exactly a big guy. I'm pretty lean; 6 feet tall and about 135 lbs, so I'm pretty thin. coach taught me this simple trick and about 2 months after i started muay thai, I got into a yelling match that resulted in a fistfight after school with a kid from my class. I'd been in fights before so it wasn't too new for me, but they'd always been a struggle since im so thin. However, I just remembered this technique and knocked the guy out cold with a right uppercut. It was my first time knocking someone out, and i owe it to this simple trick. it works wonders lmao

Great stuff. I remember years back when Michael Jai White explained this principle to Kimbo Slice (RIP) on the set of "Blood and Bone." Really cool of you to credit him too, as the concept has been around for centuries obviously, but his explanation is one of the best as far as I'm concerned. But you do more than just replicating his explanation, and add to it considerably by showing how to beat your opponent to the punch and follow up with combos. Excellent stuff.

Hey Tapp bros here, thanks for watching! We will be sharing more fitness fighting tips from Mike over the months, make sure to give this video a like and subscribe if you enjoy! See you next week! Make sure to check out his physique quiz here: bit.ly/2xXT5hV Also Big shout out to Michael Jai White for Inspiring the test Mike used with Jonathan here! You can check out his channel here - kzfaq.info/love/I_lMrU-GmgsuPiEV2nLIkg Now this is a very common and simple strategy but in fights it's the fundamentals and simple strategies that work. This technique has also been shared by famous martial artists and instructors like Bruce Lee. This simple trick is something many beginner and advanced fighters may be aware of but may often be overlooked. Practice this in your training to achieve clean punches that are almost impossible to read or see coming. Train safe and stay strong! Thomas & Jonathan

Basically it’s the element of surprise that gets you knocked out, not the punch. One reason the “sucker punch” is so looked down on. Let someone pop you with a rubber band unexpectedly and it will hurt worse than it does getting hit in the exact same spot when you know it’s coming. The goal is to create a blind spot and exploit it. Not telegraphing or distracting is the only repeatable way to land a punch on someone that’s trying to not get hit. That’s why you sometimes see people wave one hand around and quick punch with the other. He’s looking for your eyes to focus on the waving hand so you won’t see the other coming.
@SitNSpinRecords
@SitNSpinRecords 5 жыл бұрын
I used to telegraph on purpose to draw them in. Or if someone liked watching your eyes, I'd telegraph a back leg front kick and look low 3-4 times then look low and start a back leg front kick but half way rotate it to a high round kick to the head. Round kick to the face sucks when your arm is trying to block a low front kick. Same idea as the hand wave trick..

The knockout : requires you rotate the brain in a proper direction so that left and right hemispheres twist in opposite torsion .....the corpus collosum that slice of gummy bear bologna this glueing the two sides, it's resetable..twist as mentioned all signals switch off, then reset on. Tip of the chin is best . It doesn't take shit for power done right. Hope that helps.

For all you armchair warriors - You need to practice everyday to make it muscle memory. Train under pressure with a great opponent/trainer at least once/twice a week. You can't pivot your hips in that chair - even if you keep your elbows inside the chair arm.
@houssamk777
@houssamk777 5 жыл бұрын
Lol they won't understand, besides you can't translate the movement from this video to your body just by watching and you need fighting experience or at least sparring even if you learn how to do it there's different circumstances and situations in fight not a simple one two hook i guess this video showcasing the skill of that fighter and the ability to read and time the left hook, this will only work for active fighters.
@hinhaale2501
@hinhaale2501 4 жыл бұрын
I understood fine. Perhaps because it wasn't news and I'm not an armchairwarrior either, I prefer wheelchairs - and I heard its important and good for one to move around alot, armchairs gets gravel in the wheels and break before you get far at all so:) Seriously though yeah you gotta practice with every practical skill you wanna learn, get through a few years though and even if you then quit forever, get fat and lose cardio + speed and stress strenght - musclememory remembers so might dull alittle but not that much. Main reflexes and how to execute atleast the techniques right will still be there. Sometimes you might have to jumpstart them and work the bag a couple weeks or so and it comes back. Now you have so much greater odds, but increasing them further by getting cardio/stamina and strenght back is adviced ^_^ If I remember right the estimated amount or reps you need to master and engrain it good in musclememory i believe is around 1000 times. And from there comes the saying "bettee to train 1 technique 1000x than 1000 techniques 1x. Which is very true. ;)
@hinhaale2501
@hinhaale2501 4 жыл бұрын
You dont have to be a actively training/fighting after those 1000reps though. You drop alot of stats when doing nothing but if you did it right you may depending on time still, the person, and if they did the min 1000 or not. You get alittle rusty if many years pass though but refreshening muscle memory requieres alot less before its back again.
@hinhaale2501
@hinhaale2501 4 жыл бұрын
@dark siders 3months isnt much.. Esp if youre being trained at home by your dad with experience in "fight-related sports". That could be anything from Hockey to Muay-thai to Aikido - in thix example you'd have a 1/3 shot but atleast 6months-1year. If you wanna learn how to knock someone out with more than the one haymaker/wide hook punch that is :P I took the beginners class 3x because focus is on building up body, cardio, toughen against blows and just the basic techniques but thats the repetition i wanted since i knew advanced class was more sparring etc. Wanted a solid base first, and it went good - had some great 5 years training elite/pro level Muay-thai later but the first 2-3yrs I remember best ofc ^_^ Im certified to and have worked as a muay-thai instructor and PT aswell, miss teaching class might pick some part-time again so I'll be ready when Corona comes for me, when its due I'll kick its microbial lil ass back 2 china :P
