He is great. His stuff keeps me motivated and believe it or not loosens me up a bit. Lol

True. I was super paranoid with this one never did a rebuild before. Definitely do t need to do that.

Probably too late, but you need to thoroughly clean the head with all the valves out before reassembling the head. even a tiny bit of grit will kill a valve guide. a blob of rgease on top of the valve stem will help keep the colletes in place while you fiddle them in.

That’s a solid tip with the grease. I’ll remember that one for sure. I did spray and wipe down the insides around the guides to get any of that grit out. I should have shown that in the edit. There was so much footage it was maddening to edit. Lol. That’s a really good point. I’m paranoid now that I didn’t go clean that enough. I guess taking ‘em out and checking isn’t too hard. I’ll see if I can add a card in the video at least. Thank you!

Just watched the new videos this evening......Thank you for your attention to detail and explanation.....Do not recommend the drill suggested...your way offers more control and attaching a drill to the valve stem asks for issues, Would like to digress a little here.....1. please offer the book your using by number....I have tried to find it with no success.....2. there are numerous rubber grommets used on these bike, Just the tail light bracket and tail light uses six of them....Do you have a source for these grommets and the metal sleeve that inserts in them.....again no luck and I need a bunch Thanks for your series.....very well done David

Thanks, David. I’ll shoot a quick video of the book I’m using. It’s becoming they key to everything and the best version I’ve seen. Those small parts can be hard to find but cmsnl is solid. A lot of things aren’t available though. So look to EBay. I have saved search pages for stuff. It’s like a scavenger hunt 24/7.

Brian Matson have used them also but the shipping is killer. Just thought you may have seen another source Ty

No. I’ve just scavenged off of parts on eBay mostly. Sometimes you gotta but a whole component for the 2 pieces you need. Luckily a lot of things are pretty cheap. Cheaper than buying individually/new parts...especially for non mechanical stuff like light housing bushing situations etc. keep hunting!
