In case you want to race with anybody, there's a R mode after 5th gear which will make some noise at first but don't worry , it will launch your car like lambo

I did what you said and as soon as I went into R mode, a spatial warp occurred and sucked me into a different dimension. Currently typing this while I'm in Namek apparently(says the aliens looking for dragonball or whatever).

I found the sweet spot for mine is 4.1k and quickly but gently getting off the clutch, I’m at 380hp on e60 -stock trans and clutch.

@@Camronnbrown 2020 wrx I launch it at 3200. Perfect amount of boost to grip for my car, if I had my sport tires back on I’d probably be at 4k, but all season tires love to slide around in 95+ degree weather.

Bro, heat is the biggest killer of clutches, doing this barely adds any additional wear to the clutch. Seriously, clutches are made for this, what he's doing in this video won't generate enough heat to damage it. If clutches couldn't handle this, then people would be getting a new clutch every hill start.

@@Gobbbbbthis is true. I think the damage would come further down the drivetrain. My buddy bent his axle by sidestepping the clutch. Technically the slower you let the clutch out, the quicker it wears as it continues to slip and heat up until you either fully depress or release it. This is of course scales with rpm so newer drivers who rev the car up to 4K and then barely let out the clutch in fear of stalling are really cooking that friction material.

@@imblackmagic1209 Launching how he did in the video won't really hurt the springs, he wasn't that aggressive with it. But yes I agree, more wear will be done to that than the friction disc like this. At least he was _somewhat_ progressive and didn't fully dump it.

Terrible advice, you don't just drop the clutch, Feed it in let it slip a tiny bit. Less chance if breaking stuff and quicker

@@Neplushkomd if you rev the car to where the wheels dont spin if you drop it, (around 3k in the video) The car uses 100% of the power you put down the second you dump the clutch. If you let the clutch out slowly to avoid the punch” you wont be using 100% of the power. That is 1 of 16 reasons u are dead wrong. Excuse my english

i noticed that you “dumped” the clutch when you shifted to 2nd and to 3rd. whenever i try to do that the car jerks, how do i make it smooth like you? the only way i can make it smooth is if it let the clutch out and pause at the bite point

Apply More gas, it's because the engine and transmission are at different rpms in-between shifts and if you somewhat match them it's smooth.

another tip: turn off traction control, helps the launch, second, dont "drop" the clutch, more like slight heavier *slipping* the clutch when releasing, more smoother launch

when lifting your right foot off the gas try to keep contact with the pedal instead of lifting completly off. ALSO when shifting to the next gear if your experienced enough as you are shifting and letting off the gas dont push in the clutch until u are in the neutral position then proceed to the next gear. this will not work in a hydro transmission only cable

In turbo cars its better to slip on launch, not dump. When slipping it helps build boost faster for when you're on the power. In NA either of these is fine.

The moment he said "drop the clutch", it was obvious he doesn't know what he's talking about. Which is to be expected considering he's from USA. I bet he also does the usual drop into neutral at high speed and then jerks the shifter left and right for 10 seconds for no reason at all, they like to do that for whatever reason too.

You can also do brake loading with the handbrake. Makes for a good launch but the clutch will suffer a bit.

You should try launching a little lower then 3 k and come up into the power band as you launch to avoid that jerking motion. You still get a clean and quick launch but you wont have that bad jerk anymore.
