I'd like to see a full color change done with single stage white. I'm hoping that I can paint my 96 Buick Roadmaster sedan before summer is over and I'm changing it from the factory Medium Adriatic Blue to a single stage white. I love white cars, plus doing it this way I can gradually do more custom work to it and it'll be easy to match the paint

I've heard that spraying single stage is like spraying clear. You have to lay it down wet from the start. If you get dry spray or texture, then you're going too light/fast or it's too hot for your activator/reducer. It's better to have runs/sags than dry texture. Runs and sags can be cut down and buffed easily. Sometimes without even doing the whole panel.

I absolutely love your work man I just painted my truck with this stuff and I'm happy with it but it has its flaws I don't know if I could use more than 5% slow reducer or not and it seems like if I used more reducer it would have came out better is that true can you use more reducer than 5%?

Hi Marco, love the videos but I am curious about the how much reducer are you adding on top the activator. I have painted my Bronco twice with speedokote paint and can’t get to look anything as nice as yours. Feels like I am throwing money down the drain. I 400 sanded the entire vehicle and also used the primer, primer also comes out great but I can’t get the paint to do the same. Thanks for any advice.

The only issue was I got some primer/sealer (SS-2790G) bleed through my jet blk single-stage (SMR-9705) after it dried, only on the underside of the vehicle, rockers, etc. It had a rough texture as well, it's bizarre, I couldn't figure out what I did wrong. The rest of the car looks amazing. Anyhow, how long should I wait to re-spray over these areas?

nice, im picking up some limco this morning....long story. i lost all day yesterday because the paint i ordered from jim carter was supposed to match period correct gm cape maroon ... i was suited up ready to rock ...opened the can, and its friggin Barney Purple. i stirred it hoping it just needed to be stirred, nope , still purple. soooo, theyre going to take it back and refund . Looking forward to a nice paint job.

I just sprayed my truck with this jet black about 2 weeks ago I think I have decided to add a clear coat to it now. My question is do I need to color sand the paint to get out all the orange peal before o shoot the clear coat or can I shoot the clear and then do my color sanding and buffing

Marco- I’m spraying in 50 degree weather. (Single stage jet black) used fast reducer and looked good slightly orange peeled. Had contamination so I got fish eyes now I’m sanding and re spraying the whole truck. Would you recommend fast reducer again or maybe the medium? Or even no reducer at all?

I have good luck with just the paint and activator but not quite as smooth as yours but fairly close. What percentage of reducer and basecoat activator do you use?

What is your product advise on paint that is peeling and lifting just from the adhesive of a sticker? It's the same color underneath but it doesn't look either same enough or some other issue? Paint is less than 10 years old.

I painted a single stage on an 51 gmc pickup my uncle is restoring and it was super runny and I couldn’t get it to lay without being super thin. Hi Marco, I'm new to this and have a couple of questions. You are using slow or x-slow reducer at a temperature where one would normally use medium. Would using 10% medium be about the same as using 5% slow? Also does the brand of the reducer matter much? I have some USC brand which according to the label seems to be a high VOC level 4lbs/gal. (higher the better right?)
