Ho iniziato il corso Joy of Lnaguages a settembre e sono molto soddisfatta dei miei progressi. Conoscevo molta grammatica e un buon vocabolario, ma non ho mai avuto la possibilità di parlare italiano. Ora sono in grado di parlare con altri studenti e i tutor. Il mio consiglio per la lettura è di usare un kindle perché tradurrà parole che non si capiscono ed è più facile che fermarsi a guardare il dizionario ogni volta.

@@KristinQtPie They help you ascertain your level and set you on a course. You can change if it is too hard or too easy. One of the things in the course is a weekly "Speaking Club" which is hosted by a tutor and follows a different theme each time. There are breakout rooms. It uses zoom. On Fridays, there is an opportunity to record a short video in Italian which receives comments from a tutor and hopefully, fellow students. I am not sure what software they use for that, but it is a link on the course website after you enrol. Mon-Fri they send a short video clip of tutors in dialogue on various topics and there is a full transcript. There is grammar info, vocab explanations, colloquial italian info and other helpful bits. There is also access to good resources for grammar and vocabulary. I have found it very enjoyable and my Italian has improved a lot. The school is via their website to which you log in once you enrol. If you express an interest on the link above, they will send more info, and the staff in Italy are very helpful with answering questions. There are quite a few levels to study at. I hope that helps!

Buon anno ragazzi! Molte grazie per i consigli. Sono d’accordo…. ovviamente io ho molto tempo per studiare… Ho un routine molto forte, il mio apprendimento consiste in varie cose: almeno 30 minuti di ascoltare i podcast, un episodio di una seria sul Netflix o youtube, almeno 4-5 pagine di leggere del libro, chiacchierando ecc… Quando guido la machina, sto ascoltando la musica, in tempi morti sto ascoltando il RAI radio… anche il Duolingo… comunque, tutto quello è molto utile per ogni lingua che imparo (lo stesso routine due volte per settimana per lo spagnolo, il tedesco e il portoghese)…

Language input is the king! Even listening to small things like the news or weather forecast can help. Text to speech can turn the entire Wikipedia pages of Italian texts into podcasts! Regarding speaking, there are ways around infrequent opportunities as well. Keep talking to yourself! ;) Maybe read an article or listen to it with text to speech, then pretend you are describing the story to a colleague or workmate. Keep explaining things, think aloud, etc. Maybe go for a walk and pretend someone asked you to describe what your see or think about certain thing, etc. Simultaneously work on vocabulary, which will improve anyway, depending on the complexity of texts and topics you will work with.

Have been learning with you guys since 5 Minute Italian and my first trip to Italy in 2019. Going back this year! One thing I still struggle with is the difference between posso avere and vorrei and when/where to use each. Apps like Babbel seem to dig into the minutiae of the language and the tinniest grammar details but not so much on the practical side of things like just being able to have a 60 second conversation in a shop.Thank you!

Buon anno! Noto che c'i sembra essere due modi cui penso nel'italiano. Se ascoltando al podcast in italiano, comprendo molte parole che non utilizzare durante scrivere ancora. (coretto? during writing of messages) Però provo usare una frase o una parole molto spesso in ogni frase quando che sto scrivendo. E cresco la mia conoscienza di parole scrivere o parlare, le tutte parole che uso in conversazione nel futuro.

Grazie per la video. Un problema che ho affrontato è non trovare un libro al mio livelo d'italiano che sia interessante. Prendevo i libri troppo difficile e leggere era un momento fastidioso. Ma adesso prendo il temp per trovare il livelo giusto e mi piace molto leggere!

Il mio maggior problema con l'italiano è sempre stato il parlare, non lo parlo mai. Specialmente adesso che sto imparando il giapponese (che è troppo difficile per me) diventa piuttosto complicato concentrarmi sulle lingue che già parlo. Mi è piaciuto molto questo video. Molto presto mi piacerebbe tornare sull'Italiano! Molti saluti da Giappone

Ascolto molto, ho tre o quattro lezioni di italiano al mese online e non mi trovo bene con la lingua italiana. Spesso mi mancano le parole, non riesco a trovare una parola, una frase... Mi sembra che con il francese la situazione fosse più semplice. Ora non ho problemi a parlare francese, ma con l'italiano - sì :(. Devo essere paziente?

I have lived in Milan for 3 years. I get by by quite well. Her Italian is quite beutiful. His is too fast and a bit rough. If he wants to teach Italian, he needs some work. Her Italian is beautiful.

I can't speak as fast as native Italians because I literally can't get my tongue to move as quickly when saying r's, d's, and t's. I don't know if anyone else has the problem of just sounding slow and forced.

Se volete parlare in italiano cercate a lavorare in un call center per Italia. Vedrete che dopo 8 ore di lavoro uscirete tra parete e non vi servirà mai...😃😃
