Learn how to Lock a PowerPoint Presentation from editing.
Protect your presentation when sharing by using a password.
Share your PowerPoint files without any restriction with others. They will not be able to edit your PowerPoint file.
This video is created in PowerPoint 2016 ( Office 365). However, you can follow this PowerPoint Tip in PowerPoint 2013 and earlier versions too.

How do I lock the PPT presentation without the box that appears so that my potential investors don't see it and so that I can just email it to clients and they can open it without having to hit the "Read only" key? Is there a way to do that?

Hey, thanks for this tutorial, it's on the point and really helpful. I realized that the password protection gets removed when you upload this on Google slides making it completely editable. Any workaround to keep it read-only across platforms?

Thank you for this. I did find that when I used “reuse slides” to insert the protected slide, it allowed me to edit the protected slide. Any ideas to get around that?

In Excel, when the read-only option appears after you PW protect from modifications, the user can still "save as" onto their own personal folder. This way, they can edit the file as they please, they just can't override the original file. How do I get PPT to do this? Why is the Save as feature turned off???

It appears you can edit and save and rename using google slides. Is there a way a person can only open a PPT file using only the PPT app and not other apps?
