Unless i saw it with my own eyes i wouldn't have believed it. Thats a fact. The whole time i sat there i was thinking OMG OMG OMG its gonna be heavy. And then, suddenly, it wasn't. It was like the powder was buffed into oblivion. Like nothing was left. It was somehow pushed or buffed into the skin in some invisible layer. As i walked up to the stage and took my photo i was just amazed. Glowing skin. Skin that looked like skin.
Afterward the model on stage sat by me and i was just blown away by her skin. It didn't look heavy like i'd imagined. It was just perfect.
Every photo that day looked like it had a filter. It was glowing. I do needed to try this!
One thing i want to note: The class is very very much a learning experience. Fyza is shy. And there is nothing wrong with being shy. I personally find it so appealing. She isn’t there it make us laugh, or cry or get us up dancing around - she wants to teach and if you want to learn - this is the class for you.
Fyza is 22 years old and with so much talent. For me i just want to learn. I don't care if someone is 16 or 60 - if i can learn different techniques i'm all in!
I learnt more in 2 hours than my entire time in London makeup school. I just wrote and wrote and wrote. I learnt. I was like a sponge. And the moment i got home I APPLIED WHAT I’D LEARNT. And thats the key. Its one thing to see it but you have to try it. You have to do it. See what you think. Make it your own. Try your own take on it.
I’ve tried it with high end powders and drug store products and it still works. It just works. Just buff and i mean really really BUFF. I applied my loose powder, then blusher and highlighter and bronzer - THEN I BUFFED. I buffed over everything in circular motions. And the outcome is just perfection.
Thank you to Fyza for allowing me to share this technique with you. And thats what its really about - sharing what we learn.
Thank you for your time.
Wayne x

I'm glad you all like this idea and i am really pleased you enjoyed it. Thank you and i will do a demo next week i hope :) xx

Yes please that would be wonderful!!!! I have so many questions too. Would it be a colorless powder or does it have to be a certain shade for the client? What kind of brush should be used for the final buffing? How much or little pressure should be used while buffing? Should I be a little heavier handed with my prior applications(blush,contour, bronzer not foundation&concealor)to ensure its still visible after the final buffing? Or does that not matter with this technique? Thanks so much for your great videos!!! You are amazing to learn from as well:)

***** Could you possibly do a video of 50+skin using some of these fabulous techniques? Or is this not suitable for aging skin? I realize young models represent a better 'canvas' but there are those of us with age/sun spots and a bit of sag/loser/double-chin skin that would love your expertise as well my dear.

A week ago i put may too much blush on (because it was new) and i didn't like it, so i did the risky thing of put on extra powder foundation, normally i would just use translucent powder, but i don't know why i decided to use powder foundation. Anyway i pretty much 'buffed' it into my skin, it took away the harshness of the blush, yet it still left the perfect amount of colour, and my cheeks looked the most amazing and smoothest i've ever seen! So i buffed the powder over my entire face, and it looked FLAWLESS and non powdery. Honestly when i first started buffing i though for sure it was going to mess up or rub off my liquid foundation, but it didn't. Such a coincidence seeing this video because this technique is amazing!

This method by SoniaFyza really works. Thanks for passing this fantastic tip onto your subscribers. I followed your intructions and like you I thought OMG no way was this going to work but work it certainly did. After using a pressed powder and the Real Techniques Buffing Brush and buffing everything in I was like WOW, blown away at how good my base makeup looked. I look as if I am not wearing much base products but I know I used them. After finishing buffing everything in I looked at my face closely in the mirror and I was again like you blown away by how my skin looked. i think (bc im not a pro) that maybe with a good moisturizer and moisturizing primer it wont be cakey or heavy ... since ur buffing it will cover pores and also not keep any excess powder on the face but im not 100% sure

I just splurged and bought the $58 It Cosmetics Jumbo heavenly luxe brush - because it is so big and fluffy that it applies just a minimal amount of powder to my dry skin.. now Wayne is telling us we should put on a crap load of powder? it is all so confusing..lol.

You can buff and stipple, stipple on your acne scar even acne so it won't hurt as much, buff in the skin which has less imperfection, of course, you can stipple but not buff if you are really scared... stipple with a denser stipple brush will get you better coverage...
@cristinawitbrod6075
@cristinawitbrod6075 9 жыл бұрын
This is exactly what I was thinking. I don't use any buffing for my foundation because it uncovers my scars. Which is very hard to do when you want bronzer and blush to look right. Plus my face is sensitive to exfoliation it makes acne worse. Even with a primer and good lotion and many different foundations I haven't found one that is good enough to stay still.

I have acne and tend to buff in areas where I don't have like the actual pimples just because I feel it can move the foundation and not provide enough coverage for the bump but I still do it for most of my face I buff in areas that don't need as much coverage and push in areas that do you can also do both

Hi I am a photographer. I realised the other month how long I can spend retouching client photos after a shoot and also how baddly makeup is applied by women in many cases. Obviously the studio lightning can washout 30% colour still leaving me to tweak in post production so... I realsied the answer is to learn makeup!! I found your channel last week and love it and your style and as result got kitted out yesterday with my first makeup kit and tomorrow I practice on my PA. This video is great (as are all others) and I will try this technique... watchout world, new male makeup artist emerging! Lol:o) Thank you

Buffing is a method used where you take a foundation brush and you move your brush in small circles all around your face where you've placed your makeup. Don't press to heavily, but don't press on your face so lightly where you won't see a difference. Hope that helps.

I tried this today, Wayne! Posted a pic on Twitter. It was amazing! And it doesn't require any expensive products either. I used NYX loose powder and a $3 elf brush. My skin looks so smooth and feels SO SOFT. It also feels amazing as you're doing it. I usually use a pore/wrinkle smoothing product between my brows and under my eyes (where I have the most lines). I didn't have to today!!! Thanks so much for sharing this with us!

I've been thinking about how to do this since you first put it up. I've re-watched just to hear it explained again & to stare at the photos. I love the soft look of the photos. Its like a natural matte with a natural glow, a very coveted look. I love dewy & I love matte so I love it all. I'm glad a demo is coming. I get this is more about technique & not products but I'm very nervous to try it without a demo of how to properly attempt it. Rest assured I'll be paying close attention to at least two of the products, the buffing brush & powder. All I know is I must achieve this look & master this technique. Its beautiful.

I use the Zoeva 104 Buffer (I think it is most important that it is flat and compact), and yes! I do it after I have done everything. Not a lot of powder, and just kind of smooth everything out with the brush. Just do soft circular motions, and blend the powder together with the products that are already on. I find it works best when you use a liquid foundation, and some type of mineral powder. But I have actually been using the L'oreal true match powder lately, and been suprised on how good it works for this technique. I started doing this because in my line of work I use photoshop a lot, so this is actually kind of the same thing you do in photoshop, except in real life. Im not a pro, but hope this helps :D

I just realized you were way ahead of your time with your short content and think you have a gold mine in your old content. Everything you teach is still relevant and I think you should upload them on tick tok! I can’t comprehend how some of these influencers have millions and you are still so humble but you are a true artist and the BEST on KZfaq in my opinion.

I love the most about you your consistent humility- just like you describe her. I follow her, too, and I wouldn't have know she is shy! But that is very sweet to know. I love extroverted personalities as well of course, but I didn't know how young she is- wow. I love to hear she is humble- one of the best traits to have and to keep for one's entire life and career. Thank you so much for keeping that charm about you and for truly wanting to share what you learn - love love love that about you and I love her even more now. 💜💜💜

Please respond! I have just checked out her instagram, and in the photos of the makeup she did, skin looks quite dewy. So how did she achive the dewy look on the skin if she added 2 layers of a loose powder?

This is hands down the best tip I have ever tried with amazing results. I used a small amount of powder and buffed and buffed. As you said the foundation did not move but it gives the most beautiful finish and my makeup stayed flawless a day and looked perfect even when taking my make up off a good 12 hours later. Even had compliments from people! Brilliant tip and one that will be an everyday essential for me now. Thanks so much
