Very well said. The root cause is indeed utter mismanagement of Public Sector Banks (PSBs) which are unguarded treasures being nibbled inside out. If only PSBs operate with efficiencies comparable with HDFC Bank, KMB, etc., the deluge of IBC applications would stop and normal flow would become manageable. A cursory glance at the cause lists of NCLT would show that the very large % of NPAs comes from PSBs. Our country cannot afford this drain and I hope hon'ble FM will fix the malaise soon - it's doable.

Such scandals are the breath of top bankers. Why chairman, MD of banks are not questioned by ED, CBI? This modus operandi is also functioning down the line upto Regional Manager level. If rally wants to unearth similar scandals, how internal contracts for renovation, rental, house keeping, for branches and offices are the best avenues. The role of statutory auditors, internal auditors and Chartered Accounts are a big question mark? It seems like a matter of connivance. Teei bhi chup aur meri bhi chup. It is a tolchard without watch dog and you loot one I will loot more and vice a versa.

When bank officials are entertained by such dubious customers, one can expect such results. Could also be a case wherein some money must have been passed to higher officials not to mention the political partners. On wonder, a candidate at election time declares his assets at a certain level and 5-years down the line the assets multiplies many times over. To the power of 'x'

Biggest problem is staff shortage. If one person is given a lot of loan proposals to look after then how will he check whether all the sanction conditions are being followed or not? The top management is responsible for this massive staff shortage

Why don't you check the scams in cooperative sector banks in Kerala

Real estate projects should be put on halt immediately. Why are they needed? In how many houses will a single family live. The people of the country are selling off their land ( mainly farm lands) at high prices so that they get rich, buy cars, luxaries, etc in their life time instead of struggleing every year to produce crops to sell at MSP.

"Fraud is...pre-planned...so that...nothing is realizable".Tax payers...hard earned money is very...cheap.

Blaming the Public sector Banks is of no use, go behind as to the POLITICAL pressure brought and the obliging officials. The TOP (Political system - Congress Party) was reason please.

What can the general public do? Boycott these public sector banks?
