For starters, we are going to simply control an Elgato Keylight which exposes an API over HTTP to query its current state and turn it on/off, control brightness and temperature.

Hi Chris, great tutorial. One question, would it be very difficult to send a JavaScript command from the Loupedeck to Adobe Premiere using the Premiere API? Similar to how you did it with the Elgato Keylight? Thank you very much.

Hi, I don't think Adobe Premiere has an http api... but loupedeck has a Premiere workspace for many of the usual editing tasks!

Super Tutorial! Beeindruckend, wie "einfach" es dann doch ist. Eine Frage, da ich absolut keine Ahnung von JS etc. habe: Brauche ich Deno zwingend auf meinem Winodws/Mac installiert, damit die Loupedeck Software die Befehle ausführen kann? Ich wollte mir die Dateien einfach von deinem Patreon holen :D

JS ist halt wirklich einfach um REST API calls zu machen und um JS auszuführen braucht man sowas wie deno - aber das ist leicht runtergeladen ;)

Awesome! Great job! I was wondering if there is something to make it work on Mac OS (that exe file might not work ;) and of course DIALS :)

Hi, Deno is available for Mac and the JS is the same. Instead of a .bat file you will most likely need a .sh shell script. Should be easy to adapt.

@@chrisprenn I created a shell script .sh and make it executable but it doesn't seem to like that. I am able to run the script and get the lights to work from them. Just not from Loupedeck.

@@JonathanGardner2004 can you get other scripts to run from loupedeck? I would gess that it's an issue with path / execution directory or something silly like that...

@@chrisprenn I opened a support ticket, apparently, it is a known issue the Loupedeck team is working on.

Wish this wasn't for people with programming experience. I have tried downloading all these different things from DENO onto my MacBook and it still doesn't allow me to run this put get stuff

Make sure deno is allowed to make network calls with --allow-net
