Ill comment here so more people read it. Despite the fact that Im still not sure what to think of him (and in no hurry to blindly jump into a specific side), I think that his ideas of what a person should do to elevate themselves to their true, individual potential, are valid. Breaking down this advice and applying it in a way that best fits your life (positively) will only help you, more than it will harm you.

It all boils down to decisions and choices that we make every waking hour. If you can choose what’s right, and moral, most of the time, instead of what feels good in the moment, and do that consistently, you are well on your way.

Young’uns are so lucky. Kids are not dumb. Kids are way smarter than ppl give them credit. When I went to school, in the 70’s 80’s and 90’s they said to ask questions, so I asked but they never answered and didn’t push the subject. Even for HW once the bell rings it’s time off for them. You guys will make less mistakes than us 50+ yo’s & have better physical, emotional lives, bounce back faster and make more money. You live in a great time. Don’t waste it.

He really, really cares. That's something that I took away from listening to much of library. He has a genuine love for people and humanity and knows that we all have the potential to bring great good into the world. That's why I can't ever take seriously anyone who criticizes him disingenuously or mocks him - you don't have to agree with everything he says but to dismiss or insult someone who is coming from such a place just speaks incredibly poorly of the person doing the criticizing to me. I'm looking at you Olivia Wilde, you disingenuous witch.

Well, if I could put something valuable out there then: Self-love comes from a place of "looking back at yourself". Some might say that this is also the place from which comes "self-hate" and I agree, but difference comes from position of reference. You can look from position of "how I'm compared to others" but you can also look at your self from "what I experienced." I think the second place isn't an easy place to face, however going back through those experiences gives better clarity of yourself, what can i build up from there, what I want from myself.

Wow now he made me cry and actually feel like I need to move and do something! Haha I'm going through a breakup and I feel very lost, not only about my breakup but about lots of things in my life, like my relationship with my family, wanting to be more independent financially, trying to understand where is my place in this world, not having many friends and feeling alone in a huge universe with no motivation to do something. I think I'm depressed. It feels like I'm not as excited as I used to be, but I'll try to improve and move even if I don't feel like to. I'll start psychology this year and I'm praying to God that this will make my life change for the better, cause I'm really wishing to be happy and to feel alive and important again.

I think looking at History of good people who spoke about truth, about what really matters and had the courage that Jordan Peterson displays regularly, he's in danger in a world where powerful people are in those positions mostly because of being the opposite of Jordan Peterson and his outspoken courageous embrace of truth will anger them. We need Jordan Peterson so much in a world that is angered by truth.

Short sharp bursts of this condensed wisdom in which you have fluency, just the way we find it, come across the words and as it trips us up when necessary, is exactly as we need it, are blessed by it and as you share it abroad that we our here continue to learn and reassess our own , at times, dilemmas , daily grind, wonders and queries in and of life and living. What convinced me that J.Peterson was a voice to listen to, is that he is actually the first one in my opinion to admit and explain how life is difficult; There are motivators who says that life in reality is beautiful, that we can have an optimistic way of seeing life and reality but J.Peterson scientifically and precisely explain why life and reality is a tragedy and I needed to listen to the truth
@wilkesreid
@wilkesreid Жыл бұрын
When you try to convince people that they're just amazing and wonderful with no problems, eventually the reality of their own selves will prove that wrong and they won't be able to sustain trying to pretend they're better than they know they are. This is the best approach: yes, acknowledge the reality that you're not great. But also acknowledge that that's the case for literally everyone else too. You aren't especially awful compared to others. And you are entirely capable of good and usefulness in spite of the latent failure you can sense in yourself.
