Belltech Lowering Kit - amzn.to/2QvyMQI
UPDATE 1/7/16
You DO NOT need to drill the blocks in the rear. The plate will go on top of the block and eliminates having to drill the holes bigger.
A full walk through on how to install the 2" Belltech Drop Spindles, 3" lowering blocks and the Street Performance Shocks. This was my first time lowering a truck, and it was not that difficult. It took me about 5 hours from beginning to end.
Wheels are 14x7 Zero offset (4" backspace)
Tires are 195/75/14, slight rub on fenders
I did roll my fenders but the tires are pretty large.

Thanks for the comment man, its a welcome addition and hopefully other people will read this before drilling them out. :/ I updated the info section also!!

Hey Jon. I was wondering if you could post a picture showing whether your new scrub radius is above or below the radius rod after installing the drop spindles and flipping the ball joints (or just tell us, haha). You're pretty savvy, but if you don't know, it's just whether if you got a completely flat tire, would the radius rod hit the ground or would you be riding on the wheel? Reason I ask is I think 15s look great but they would be a safety issue if the scrub radius is too high. Thanks for all your help. Great video.

+A dudeguy It is very close with my 14's but I would be riding on the lip of the wheel if I got a completely flat tire. It looks as if it would scrape the 2 nuts that hold the lower ball joint on slightly.

thank you for all your videos, seems like anything i want to do to my car you have a video about! now my question, i called belltech to order and they told me that i needed to grind out the ctrl arms and grind welds to remove the dust cover, did you have any CA clearance issues or have to grind a tack weld when you removed the dust cover from the front shocks? and thanks again for all the great content!

@Raguvian

I got the Belltech 444ND instead of the 444SP that you got. The ND (Nitro Drop) shocks up front do not fit through the control arm and don't have the removable dust cap your shocks have here. The solution I took was to press the lower shock mount bushing out, put the shock in to the control arm from the top, and then press the bushing back in. You could also grind out the control arm or the shock body, but I don't think those are as clean as just pressing the bushing out. Just throwing this out there in case anyone else has the same issue I did.

@GarageBuiltHondas
@GarageBuiltHondas 9 жыл бұрын
Easily. That offset/backspacing sticks out only 6mm more than my wheels and a small 1" drop would be perfect. The rear would actually line up better than mine because my rear wheel isn't flush with the fender. You would need a tire size that isn't too beefy though. I have 195/75/14 on my truck and that is right about 25.2 inches in diameter and it's a little too big. I haven't bought new tires yet, I prefer to get a larger set of wheel and smaller tires.
