I have removed all of the oil wicks from the top part where the needle bar is and put grease. Made my machine much cleaner, no contamination of my sewing area or work anymore. Working on slow speed makes the oil pump obsolete

I've just acquired a used H5 and this video along with the others you have are very useful. The fold out booklet that cam with it isn't much use to explain the functions etc, so I'm wondering if you know where I could get a manual for it. Looking online hasn't yielded much success so far. Thank you
@ozcommercialsewingmachines8 күн бұрын
The only manual for these machines is the little fold out page it came with, there is no manual as such like you get with a domestic machine. This is because they are usually in a manufacturing environment with trained users and technicians on site to rectify any issues. This is why we have done the videos we have.

@@ozcommercialsewingmachines Thank you, I've managed to source some extra information and I do have the leaflet that originally cam with it. Your videos have been a godsend so thank you so much for doing them. all the best

Thanks Peter, appreciate the video. I was told when I purchased by my H5, that I only needed to put oil in the sump once a month and other than that I didn’t need to do any other oiling. How often should I be doing what you just demonstrated?
@ozcommercialsewingmachines2 жыл бұрын
Hi Lucinda, thanks for watching. I would suggest doing this every 3 - 6 months depending on how much usage the machine is getting.

Great video, Is there a way of reducing the amount of oil on the wicks at the back of machine near the raise footer bar - oil is dripping onto the flat bed!
@ozcommercialsewingmachines Жыл бұрын
Hi Liz. Not really, they tend to settle down after a while from new, but if they are causing issues for a prolonged period, you can dab them with a cloth periodically, if it becomes excessive you can cut the cable ties and trim back the wicks, this part of the machine requires minimal lubrication, so if you decide to shorten the wicks, be aware you will need to manual oil these areas when necessary. Hope this helps.

Is it possible to lubricate machine components with paste-like lubricant?
@ozcommercialsewingmachinesАй бұрын
No, only sewing machine oil. Grease gets put in one place at the back of the machine where instructed.

Hi Peter, I also have a Jack H2 machine and I am having trouble with it. My stitches don't come out right, the stitche from the bobbin thread is loose or doesn't show at all on the bag. Could you please help?

You should be using white machine oil which is the same as sewing machine oil.
