@@GetGlamFam Hi Hun they normally advise that you don't go above 300 or 400゚. Get a wig that has a good bounce to it 1st before you go in and purchase anything more expensive. I've had a job styling wigs so I'm telling you that for years and years and years most people were dealing with synthetic. The human hair is so expensive and a good synthetic and a good technique in terms of cleaning and styling can make that wig look phenomenal. GlamFam Hair & Beauty maybe you can help me. I have a virgin hair water wave unit, but the unit seems to dry out and swell throughout the day then gets matted at the nape. Of course it wasn’t like this out of the box. I’m starting to think it’s not human hair. What can I use to keep it from swelling? I e been told spray leave in conditioner with water, but it still swells. Should I just use a setting lotion. I just didn’t want the curls to be crunchy. 🤦🏾♀️
@GetGlamFam4 жыл бұрын
It sounds like that wig was made with turned hair, which basically means the cuticles are heading both directions. The cuticles should only face downward. Many people benefit from using the “silicon mix” products on their wigs like that, because it puts a coating on the hair and helps to lessen tangling, but as a fair warning, curly wigs are VERY prone to matting in the nape, as is naturally curly hair.
@royaldiadem7624 жыл бұрын

Your introduction lol!!! the first laugh I have had in a long while!!! I turned over my shop to my sister...when I got married...She walked into a business that took years to build. I worked part-time. Fast forward.... She is very talented, but when customers came in and asked for me...Jeslousy..took over...!!!..I eventually left.. She will not sell or order me ANY wig!!! She takes credit for the store...when I brought her in...she was totally broke!!!..She was a hairdresser...her salon burned...I took her in!!...Her jealousy is unreal....I needed a new wig...I had a health problem..she said they did not make it any longer...a lie!! The area I am in now has a "need" for wigs & wig service. GOD. has restored my health!!! Your video was such an inspiration today!! A friend has offered me a space in his shop...I. just might try it again !!!

Thank you for such a well explained and taught example. I washed my granddaughters wig but didn't want to ruin it and mess up the curls. So I did everything you said to do and wow it looked better then when I first bought it! Wow thank you for the care!!!

Thank you. There aren't enough good videos like yours that show proper maintenance and care, as well as finishing style of synthetic wigs. Because lets get real most of cannot afford the more expensive, top of the line units. Kudos to you and your talents.

I came across your video, because I just had purchased a pixie style wig. I didn't know what to do because, it had a strong chemical smell to it. But after watching your video. I did just like you in the video. My pixie style wig has so much body and shine to it. And it smell so good. You are a blessing. Thank you so much.

I just came across your video 5 minutes ago you are a blessing to me because I have been in the furnace with my wigs lol. I have been asking people what can I do to restore my wigs and the information that I was giving made me look like a mad woman. I have thrown away so many wigs and spent money that I could've saved. Thank you for your tutorial and your intro is so funny. I laughed so hard when you said when cleaning the wig the water should be warm and not hot like your brother's breath it's like you was talking directly to me because my brother breath be broiling lol
@GetGlamFam2 жыл бұрын
