The Best Plan Ever ! When doing a van build or conversion for van life, camping or boondocking there are many details to consider. Finishing the van build or tiny home to a standard you are happy with is so important. We spend hours on our conversion doing things that no one will see when the van is complete. Pulling 12 volt wiring, DC-DC charge controllers and cables. Renogy charge controllers, Coleman solar panels and Battleborn lithium ion or even AGM batteries. Who see those ? And who can do those ? 12 volt wiring can be very intimidating to van builders that have never done it before. Understanding how to and where to pull the wires can be scary. The hours we spend on the DIY kitchen cabinet design, deciding where the dometic fridge will go. Will we have a Maxair fan or a fantastic fan or maybe both. Yes we flush hours designing our van build. Making sure that every part of the build gives us as much as possible in terms of function while keeping the weight down. Too often we spend all that time preparing and then rush to finish. With a little planning the wiring in your van is really one of the easiest things to do. Don’t do that on your build. Take the time on your van conversion to finish the inside you are happy and proud of the results and you’ll get many great years and days camping, overlanding and have a great van life.
