*This battery reconditioning program exceeded my presumptions. It worked on any drill battery, several AA and AAA batteries, **batery.repair** and any camera battery. The steps are simple and the act itself is exciting to do. No matter what type of battery you`ve got, it is sure to function again!*

GREAT VIDEO! YESTERDAY I FINISHED A 3S LI ION BATTERY PACK. BUT I WASN T SURE I DID WELL. AFTER A NIGHT OF CHARGING WITH A LIPO CHARGER, ALL THE LEDS WERE GREEN THIS MORNING. YOUR VIDEO CONFIRM THAT I DID EVERYTHING IN THE RIGHT WAY. NEXT STEP A 4S, 5S AND 6S LI ION BATTERY PACK. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!

Nice guide there :) Good that you also added in balance charging connectors. Only things I would say is that: a) a soldering iron can be used if you don't have a spot welder (like me) b) for best lifespan, you need to capacity check each cell (on a balance charger like the one in the video) to see what its capacity is like - as laptop batteries will vary significantly, and the pack will be limited by the cell with the worst capacity.

Do not forget to balance your 18650 batteries before putting them in a pack, this way the voltage is almost the same and will be charged faster. Great video, i have been doing it like this for many years now😀🇳🇱

Holy 18650s! Great idea but damn be careful. These babies are not happy when shorted.
@imnotbeluga0072 ай бұрын
Much safer than a Li-Po for sure. And 18650s have shutoff vents that not only release the pressure, but also disconnect the battery from the circuit. Overload, overheating or a short circuit will build up pressure until the safety vent opens. At least in some models. Anyway, as long as you don't discharge them at over 2C, you should be fine.

Thanks for the great video, can you please explain how to wire for balance charging through balance charger if 4 cells were to be used as a 7.4v pack in order to increase capacity, similarly as it is in the actual laptop battery pack, ie. 3 pairs of cells for 10.8 / 11.1v? Or would the two parallel cells just be counted as one (with double capacity) by the balance charger?
@Jimmeh_B6 жыл бұрын
As others are mentioning, Use a BMS to stop over discharge which WILL kill your batteries. Also, do capacity tests on the cells, match cells as closely as possible by capacity and ALWAYS run a MONITORED charge/discharge cycle on each cell looking for temperature, throw out the heaters.

Very Nice and Helpful Video. Allthough i have some recommendations. 1) Dont use a Lipo Charger for Lion Batterys. 2) Use thicker wire for the main Leads because the bigger Packs can output higher current and if you pump higher current through those thin cables, they could cause a fire, so please be careful. Have a nice day! ;)
@Bazarack7 жыл бұрын
this is a lipo, liion, liFe, nicd and pb charger so he can use it :)
@HDGamer24247 жыл бұрын
Sure.. but he used the Lipo Setting.
@catbijoux14 жыл бұрын
Nice video well done. But those are not Lipo batteries but Li-Ion. So the charger should be set to Li-Ion as otherwise you will be overcharging them to 4.2V per cell instead of 4.1V. Not that they will explode but still not their correct and normal full charge voltage. Keep up the good work!

I think these batteries will not work as effective in some projects as Li-po do. Li-po 2s, 3s, 4s can provide higher current as compared to Li-on used in laptops.
@minkorrh6 жыл бұрын
Neat idea but I don't think they will perform anything like a LiPo. They don't have the discharge rate for high current draw.

hi. I'm thinking on doing some battery packs myself. Do I need those protection boards (BMS) if I use similar charger like you have? (imax b6) (where I will use them, i will have some electronics to check each cell voltage - altough I won't have the ability to detect short circuit - overcurrent protection?) Thanks!
