HOW TO Make a 3d Paper Diorama

Hey guys, today I'm showing you how to make a 3d paper diorama. I had this idea for a long time to make a 3d project where the paper comes up out of the project. more like a diorama than a lightbox. I used foam board to build the layers. i build the tree using cardstock. i spent days attaching leaves and filling out the crown of the tree. I loved cresting the little spirit playing the harp by the water. It has a mask and cloak. I created a little dragon the same way as the tree and I decided to thread some fsiry lights into its belly to light it up. I create a water effect like in some animes. I pick some blue purple lights. This project was super fun to make and it turned out great. Hope you enjoy!

Wow. The anime water is stunning. Mad how something can feel too sparse and too cluttered at the same time. And the anime water ripples totally solved that feeling! Reducing the 'sparse-ness' while also obscuring some of the clutter below and balancing everything out. Wackadoo!

Super gorgeous. The water effect you came up with looks fantastic. It was a great idea to keep working it, it went from looking pretty cool to looking amazing.

Looks really beautiful. I love the water effect. Changing the plastic was a great idea. Can't wait to see the next project. GOW or Dune, maybe?

the water pattern is the best part, but I wonder how it would look like with a shadow layer, like it's usually drawn...

I don't know. I think with the way the lighting is it would just look the same only the pattern would look more dense.

This is so beautiful!! I love it! Your monster reminds me of a sea dragon, and I'm obsessed with sea horses, so that's a win in my book!

This is really beautiful and I love the style. The little guy and the dragon are really cute and I like the start of the story 😂 This feels like a set for a stop motion movie!
