there are cell spacers very cheaply on various sales platforms. they better than gluing batteries together and safer too. also grade your cells, don't mix a 1.5AH and say a 1.2AH cell if you using reclaimed batteries

This dc jack should not be connected directly to the bms because it will give reverse charging you should connect with a diode 👍

Your video title has a critical error. the 12.6v is correct but you used a comma instead of a period leading me to believe you somehow had a pack that could output both 12 volts and 6 volts. I figured that out after watching your video.

Do I need to connect (weld, solder) batteries to the BMS board in sequence (from plus to minus or vice versa) how is it in the laptop battery so that the board does not go into protection?

I made an ups with 3s 25a BMS and 6cells of 18650. My router supports 12v 1.5amp. Can I use a 12v 5amp adapter to charge the ups alongside to power the router. 5a-1.5a=3.5amp for my 3s battery pack (6*18650 batteries total (🔋🔋+🔋🔋+🔋🔋)) Is it alright to use 12v 5a charger? Is it going to quickly reduce the battery lifespan?

You need 25.2 vol adapter for 6S batterry pack , and 12,6vol adapter for 3S battery pack

Thanks, this video was very helpful as I recently was given 9 18650 battery's. What is the highest charging voltage you would recommend? I have a 12v 2a plug, should that be alright?

if you link 3 together in series then 12.5 to 13.6....please using a proper bms and don't just connect 12V to it.

Does the final outlet (black and yellow wires) account for charging and discharging? I see other BMS systems have a separate charge and discharge ports. I plan to use a 6s BMS to do a blue tooth speaker build with a 24 volt power supply. How many 18650 batteries should I use?

On 6S BMS will have an port for charging and one for discharge. You can use 6 or 12 batteries for this…

You cannot use BMS as a cell charger, you need a charging module.

Do you make up battery packs to sell? I need a 6v, 15Ah pack for charging with a 10 watt solar panel. I could put a buck converter on the end to get it down to 6v if necessary. Or, can you provide a circuit diagram for such? Thanks Mike

This is for use on a game cameras. Almost all use 6v. I saw some LiFePo4 on eBay, 3.2v, 6500mAH. 6.4v would not hurt any game camera. 3600mAh will last 2 months in most game cameras. I leave mine unattended for like 6 months. I think if one diode protected each bank and regulated the solar panel to 6.4v you could run direct off the solar panel. 0.5 amp is the best a 10 watt panel will do in bright sun. I just subscribed!

I made a charger out of 4 18650 batteries. Then used 4s 40A charging board from aliexpress and did the circuit as said. After leaving it to charge overnight i can see the charge has only come 11.1v where as i was expecting it to have 16.4v. Also the charge lasted for 5 mins only any reason why?

Oh. The first : you shoudn’t charge it over night , second : have you test your battery ? It’s new or that you take it from laptop battery ..? And the third : your charging is not work any more , it’s broken ...

Do it yourself with a junk pc power suply (atx power supply), its veri easy, and you can get 3v, 5v, 12v, even 24 v from it. But for charging this bms you need a 12.6 v, so get an extra dc-dc up voltage, to increase the 12v to 12.6 v from your atx pc power supply modificated. Check some videos of how to transform a pc power supply for getting 12v (and others). Hoppe i help you.
