Surprised you can ball brass with a hand torch, that's useful to know :)

May I ask what torch that is? I’ve been looking everywhere for a hand torch that gets hot enough to solder.

Fab video - if I were to use silver wire for the setting does it ball the same way as with the brass by adding lots of flux? x

Hi. I am completely new to soldering. I have a piece of Borax and a dish - if I do not use all of the mixture, will it keep and be usable in a little screw top jar? thanks 🤔

Very informative, thank you. I wondered about the bead holes though, are they visible?

Glad you liked it. You can place the bead so the claws cover the bead holes, but of course you can use anything you like inside the setting - a cabochon, crystal, rough stone, sea glass or pebble!
