How to make a Cedar Glider

8 жыл бұрынI show you how to make a cedar glider based on a glider that I made 20 years ago in celebration of the birth of my daughter. Watch as I reverse engineer my existing glider and make it again out of Spanish Cedar.
A big thank you to Kilian Manufacturing in Etobicoke, Ontario (near Toronto) who graciously gave me 8 bearings for this project a little over 20 years ago.
Here's the link to a 7 1/2" bearing strap that I used when making another glider after the one in this video because I was unable to find a 10" bearing strap that I used in my first glider. amzn.to/2p5Ozbq This one worked perfectly fine!

I just found this video. It showed up in my feed for some reason and I decided to click on it. This is a great video, although I know I would never build anything with wood. I only can fantasize about it because I don't have the funds for the equipment. Just curious, where did you get all the equipment, how much did it cost and where did you get training?

Great... Looking at modifying this for a nursing chair. Glad to see a Canadian doing some great work on KZfaq! I'm over in Markham. What finish did you use as I'm building a lounger and need to add the finish next week.

GREAT Video Thank you. I found the video very helpful !!! How much space between the outside frame and the inside base for the glider to move smooth? 1/2" to 3/4" I'm guessing?

Hi. My husband has just made a glider. We are not sure it is gliding as much as it should be. How should the brackets be angled?
