Today I’m going to make a CNC floor inlay using the Stepcraft M.1000 CNC machine vacuum rails and Amana Tool® CNC router bits. www.toolstoday.com
I love how this project turned out, what do you think? Aluminum inlay into a walnut floor. Did you know the Fein Turbo II X vacuum allows the machine to suction to the floor? This allows me to carve directly into the floor!

That was fantastic to watch. However, I can only award you 9.99999 points out of 10 ! I was so impressed with the perfect fit and the contrast of the aluminium inserts against the walnut floor, ... here is the but 😉 You didn't give the aluminium a good enough finish. The scribe marks on the lower 'T'' can been seen from a mile away. I know it will be eventually scuffed up with foot prints, but a lovely brushed aluminium effect would have been great. Great video TT, love your work 😎

Thank you for the kind words and for watching. I definitely don't disagree, but I couldn't justify the time and work to sand down and polish it knowing it was going to get scratches on it when walking over it. The scribe marks were pretty deep, so it would have taken quite a bit of work to get below them, and that's just not my expertise.

Wow! another way cool project. I recently got an M1000 and love it. But it will be a while until I have the courage to cut that many parts with that level of precision. Well Done!

It looks great and perhaps sometime in the future you can machine the inlays with stainless steel or something that will not scratch as easily.

@@ToolsToday its a pity the aluminium wasnt sorted before you made the cuts. Could have done a nice satin/brushed finish on it, then once in the flooring, it could have been protected with a fine pour of clear Epoxy.

great job ..... but i don't like how the panels are fixed for cutting with glue...it can be very dangerous--IMHO

Thank you! This is one of the better ways to securely hold things in place, especially for thin material like this. My mistake was not spreading it out before putting the material on.
