Cobra Bag DIY. Total build cost around USD$15 (not including the base). I'm using an umbrella base for this one as it requires a stable platform.
Update: See my DIY channel transformed into a global brand producing the world's first modular cobra bag: kewlus.com/

@@Kewlus oh yeah i did check it out. I was say that a compression spring has more gaps in it allows smooth reflex motion. The power twister spring seems like an extension spring that has no gap in it at all which makes the bag a bit more stiff

Ok I understand what you mean now. That’s definitely the better solution but I haven’t been able to find a suitable compression spring and I don’t know how to use a welder. Get the biggest spring you can find first, then look for a pipe to fit either into the spring or over the spring. In general I recommend making the PVC version: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ZsV3g7x1vtKZg2g.html which is better (further reach, faster action, variable speed, and better stability) and much easier and cheaper to make.

@@Kewlus Thanks. But I mean the original purpose of the spring (gate hardware?) So I have an idea of what section of the hardware store to look for it.
@Kewlus
@Kewlus 4 жыл бұрын
The one I used was a "compression spring" in General Hardware section - not for any particular use. However the biggest spring was only good enough for a very light ball, and in my opinion not worth it. Overall, the PVC pipe version reflex bag (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jKmPa6181tGdqGg.html) is far superior, simpler to make and less costly. This week I'll be posting a new video on that with a much simpler (and cheeper) base design. I'd recommend that one rather than a spring one.
@banana403
@banana403 4 жыл бұрын
@@Kewlus I fixed my base with a 1-inch iron flange. I thread a 1"x18" iron pipe into the flange. The 1/2" PVC pipe inserted into that. Bam. A pretty decent cobra bag. It flexes a little more than I'd like but I think I can fix that with a dowel inside the PVC.
