When that music came on at 3:00 we were like, Thor's Hammer! Fitting choice. 🤘💀 They've got some pretty decent tunes in there. My man, that carving just takes this thing over the top. Seriously awesome. A chair fit for a Thane, for sure.

Nick I had the same issue with my jigsaw.... I went to a shorter blade and it worked better. I think the long ones tend to have more flex and don't take much pressure for them to go offline.... Keep up the good work and don't change your approach... Cool...... KEWLLLLL

Love it, but I have 2 criticisms. 1. When making a Viking chair one must jam to viking rock such as Amon Amarth or Tyr. 2. When sitting in said Viking chair, one must drink mead instead of whiskey! Awesome chair. Im definitely building it.

Hey nick great build, honestly when I made mine I wish I had left the back longer so I think it was a good choice, and the carving was amazing, love the Celtic knot and the cross you did, the holes in the tongue piece was a good touch to keep the weight down 🤘 rock on brother

I've never used that specific fish before but for lots of other spray finishes, you can use steel wool to smooth out the texture. if you do that and add another coat after, it should be smooth. Steel wool also helps to hide an uneven coat. Most of my experience like that is from using a spray lacquer so not sure if its any different with what you used. Just a thought. Great videos man! Awesome Chair Nick. I just got 2- 2x12x8. But I like a tall back (little less then straight up and down) and a wide seat so what would you think would be a good measurement? Thanks Bud!
@BuildDadBuild
@BuildDadBuild 4 жыл бұрын
You'd probably be best off cutting your back and then playing with different lengths with a scrap 2X4 But, the longer you leave the "leg" of the chair, the more straight up and down it will be. And the closer to the ground would get you more back space and would be more straight up and down. Cheers!

Do you go fishing? Do you have time to go fishing??? It's a great opportunity to drink more whiskey. You know the collapsible chairs you get, the good ones with a back and bag attached? They cost a feckin fortune for all they are, could you make 1? Burnt and coloured of course

I haven't been fishing in decades....but I'd go for the whiskey! LOL I think you could modify this chair to fit your needs! Cheers

That chair wasn't created during the viking age it's originally African in design. A bog is a marsh. Still great video though

It’s perfect because it’s not perfect 👍. And yes why is it when we do/make stuff 1st thing we do is point out “mistakes” ? Weird huh
